My Kitchen is RED-y!

Hello Dear Ones! I wanted to brag on my Mr. Precious and just tell you what a little darling he is. He was in the kitchen a couple of weeks ago opening cabinet doors and opening drawers and slamming them shut. I went in to see what he was up to and he was measuring my old Martha Stewart red enameled cast iron pot. You can see it below as it's always sitting on the cooktop ready to cook beans. We eat a lot of beans! :)

He was going to order some things for the kitchen with American Express points he's been saving for a while. I was thrilled to say the least!

First of all ~ new Paula Deen pots and pans. RED of course!

Aren't they pretty all RED with little splatters of black? The little knobs on the lids have some copper. Pretty. When they came, I was so excited but I had to decide where to put them. You know how it is.

See these three drawers? Well, they're very deep and strong and my tiny brain thought ~ this is where I'll put them.

The bottom drawer would be perfect! So I rearranged and moved things around and came up with this...

Ta dah! Here's my new RED PD cookware along with my Kitchenaid pots and pans. My Kitchenaids are still in pretty good shape so I had to keep them. Now I can cook for an army ~ not that I want to~ :)

To save space I like to stack my pans but don't want them scratched so I poke in some dish towels between them. Not too pretty but it works. I had just bought some flour sack tea towels at Target and was going to embroidered something on them but they're rather flimsy to me. So...I thought they would make perfect buffers for my pans! I'm so talented to think like that you know! :)

I don't drink coffee but Mr. Precious does so he ordered a new Cuisinart coffee maker for himself! It's pretty too, isn't it?

Then my tiny heart skipped four beats and I almost fainted because Mr. Precious ordered me my dream pot...

Oh, honey! This is so beautiful! My new RED love - a 7 1/4 qt. Le Creuset dutch oven.

Move over Martha...enter Le Creuset dream pot! :)

Just let your most gorgeous peepers gaze at her in all her RED glory! Is she not just the most beautiful pot you've ever seen!! Isn't Mr. Precious the most darling little thing? I love that man!
I must tell you, I have not even washed my dream pot yet! I'm just looking at her and soaking up her beauty! I guess I'll break down tomorrow and bath her and cook some beans in her for her initiation! :)

Well...

I just had to make a new little chicken pot holder to sit on top of my RED dream pot! What do you think? Is she cute or what? She is special because she has blue eyes!

Look at that cover girl face! :)

RED dream pot and black chickie - they were meant for each other. My kitchen is totally RED-y.
Uh oh..

Seems I have a little problem. These girls are fighting it out to see who gets to nest on my RED dream pot! I know they will work it out!

Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~

Yes, I'm Ready

I don't even know how to love you
Just the way you want me to
But I'm ready [ready] to learn (to learn)
Yes, I'm ready [ready] to learn (to learn)
To fall in love, to fall in love, to fall in love with you

I don't even know how to hold your hand
Just to make you understand
But I'm ready [ready] to learn (to learn)
Yes, I'm ready [ready] to learn (to learn)
To hold your hand, make you understand
To hold your hand right now

I don't even know how to kiss your lips (kiss your lips)
At a moment like this
But I'm going to learn how to do
All the things you want me to
(Are you ready?) Yes, I'm ready
(Are you ready?) Yes, I'm ready
To fall in love, to fall in love, to fall in love right now

(Are you ready?) Yes, I'm ready
(Are you ready?) Yes, I'm ready
(To kiss me?) Yes, I'm ready
(To love me?)
To kiss you, love you, and hug you
Baby, I'm ready

I guess slinging them around tones muscle and keeps one in shape.
