A Little Tool Box

Hello, Dear Ones! I have been seeing cute little tool boxes all over the Land of Blog and I wanted one! So bad!

I was in Michael's and look what I saw in the sale aisle. A little tool box! Isn't she cute?

Well, let me tell you, she didn't look like this when I bought her. She was a light pink color and had "Spring" written across her chest. I wanted to be able to use her all year round so I grabbed my creamy colored spray paint can and went to town. You can still see "Spring" just a tad since it was embossed on her chest. I should have sanded first. Live and learn. :)

Now it was time to play! I love to play, don't you? I don't wanna grow up, I'm a Toy R Us kid! :)

Oh, I found this darling little birdie at Michael's too. She's just a little shy.

Let the fun begin! I started poking things all around and in my special little tool box! I grabbed some pretty little note cards and a pen.

Now since I have olden eyes, I had to have my little cheater glasses. I fiddled with this snap to make it look all artsy and stuff. I'm just so talented like that you know! Please know I'm teasing! :)

Crystal...I love crystal.

I poked in one of my little small crystal vases...look at the cut work. I love this stuff!

And...I got these little roses in the throw away bin at the grocery store for a song. They were a little wilted, but I didn't care. They had character. I love that in a person and in a flower, don't you?

Here I go again being all talented and stuff, fiddling with my snap! :)

Oh, my little tool box is so happy to be surrounded with memories to be and a crystal vase filled with roses that are full of character! :)

*******************************************************************

Now you know I can't let you leave without inviting you to my Heart of the Home Party - Roosters and Chickens next Tuesday, August 9th. I would love for you to come and bring your Roos and Chicks! You can read all about it here. If you come and link up to my party you'll have two chances to win a Rooster pillow and two tea towels. I know you only see one set of tea towels but I will have the other set ready that will go with the pillow. My tiny dainty fingers have been really busy getting these made for you! So I hope to see you at Note Songs blog next Tuesday with your yard birds!

Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia :)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~

She Works Hard For The Money

She works hard for the money
so hard for it honey
she works hard for the money
so you better treat her right

She works hard for the money
so hard for it honey
she works hard for the money
so you better treat her right

Onetta there in the corner stand
and wonders where she is and
it's strange to her
some people seem to have everything

Nine a.m. on the hour hand
and she's waiting for the bell
and she's looking real pretty
just wait for her clientele

She works hard for the money
so hard for it honey
she works hard for the money
so you better treat her right

She works hard for the money
so hard for it honey
she works hard for the money
so you better treat her right

Twenty five years have
come and gone
and she' seen a lot of tears
of the ones who come in
they really seem to need her there

It's a sacrifice working day to day
for little money just tips for pay
But it's worth it all
just to hear them say that they care

She works hard for the money
so hard for it honey
she works hard for the money
so you better treat her right

She already knows
she's seen her bad times
she already knows
these are the good times

She'll never sell out
she never will
not for a dollar bill
she works hard

She works hard for the money
so hard for it honey
she works hard for the money
so you better treat her right

She works hard for the money
so hard for it honey
she works hard for the money
so you better treat her right

She works hard for the money
so hard for it honey
she works hard for the money
so you better treat her right

  23. My husband has a tool box that looks like yours, except it is the wrong color and is a little beat-up, but I bet a coat of paint could make it girly...but do you think Mr. Art @ Home would kill me if I raided his work table?

Very cute post as always, Shelia!

  28. Hi Shelia,
Talk about thinking outside of the box. I love the fact that you walked into Michaels and saw the potential of this wonderful box. I really need to start doing that as well. If I saw the pink box with Spring on the side I would have kept going. Now I would stop, pause, and think outside the box. I love everything you put in the box as well.
