It's Almost Time!!

Hello, Dear Ones! Do y'all make home made ice cream? Well, we make it about 3 times during the hot summer months and it's so very good. If you'd like my recipe, you can click here.

Here you see my ice cream freezer decorated up to pieces because I didn't know where to put it! :)
So I poked it here on the floor in the breakfast room and filled it with some of my faux roses...

Then I took one of my little Rooster tea towels I made and poked it in there too! Pretty sweet, don't you think? Well, in about a month I will take my ice cream freezer and poke it in the cabinets in the garage. But until then I'll just enjoy it while it's sitting on the floor in the breakfast room and smile each time I pass. Well, I may just have to make one more freezer full of ice cream! :)

I'm so excited! The Heart of the Home - Roosters and Chickens Party is tomorrow! I'm so excited! Oh, I think I've said that already. Have you gathered your Roos and Chicks and snapped and made your post? I hope so!! I'm getting everything ready for you and will have the post up Monday night for you early birds! So, pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease please come to my party! We all love our yard birds so much and will love to see yours!

Don't forget now, if you link up to my party you'll have two chances to win a little Rooster pillow and two little tea towels made by my dainty little fingers! :) I'll draw the two names on Friday!
Oh, the thrill and excitement!! :)

Be a bunch of sweeties,

I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~

  6. Shelia,
Your party is sure to be a HUGE success, dear...those Roosters, Hens and Chickens are popping up all over Blog Land! How cute to decorate your ice cream freezer. I have my MoMa's on the shelf in the lower level. Don't think it works any longer, but I couldn't bear to part with it. Oh how you do inspire me, dear one! See you soon!
    Fondly,

  13. Oh what a cute idea and can believe I have never ever had homemade ice cream!!! That's just not right!

Thank you so much for your sweet comment about my screened in sun-room that Susan featured today for her Metamorphosis Monday.
We've enjoyed our little room so much this summer minus the bugs and the baking sun! Plus I can go in and change it up every once in a while to suite my mood and or season!
    Thanks again,

  14. Wow. You really "pimped" your ice cream maker!
Ice cream IS such a happy snack. Think about it. Have you ever been sad while eating ice ceam?

  15. You did so GOOD! :) Clever and gorgeous disguise. Now, any suggestions on hiding vacuums?

My hubby bought me a little countertop ice cream machine that takes 20 mins and no ice to make "just enough" for our six to have a serving--BAD,bad, bad! We should really ONLY have homemade ice cream two or three times a summer! lol.
    Lovin' the rooster towels!
    Happy Monday,

  18. Hi Shelia, good to see you! I think you should have done a contest for your Ice Cream Freezer in disguise. Posters could have guessed what it was! LOL.

No chix or roos here on Black Creek but we'll be there again for the kitchen party!

But meanwhile, you have me drooooooling for some homemade ice cream. Coffee brownie chunk to be exact. Big hugs to you. Jane F

  20. Shelia,
Oh my gosh, RED ROSES!! I love roosters in the kitchen. I have a couple in my kitchen. The roses and rooster in the icecream freezer is such a clever idea. I never get tired of seeing red roses. They make my heart sing! Have a beautiful week.

  21. What a wonderful idea of something to do with your ice cream maker. Mine's just stored out in the garage waiting to be used. There's nothing like homemade ice cream! I can't make it too often because I just eat and eat until I'm sick. I have no self control when it comes to ice cream - especially homemade! (I need some ice cream!!)

  22. Hi Shelia!
Thanks so much for the ice cream recipe, now I have no excuse for not making it. It's been years, but you have brought back so many good memories centered around the old fashioned freezer I grew up with. "Thanks for the Memories" (How's that for a note!) LOL
    Hugs,
    Patti
