Chick Chick

Hello, Dear Ones! I've just been wanting to make things lately! So I picked up my crochet hook and yarn and went to town. This is what I ended up with...
Chick chick chickens! I still have yard birds on my tiny mind!

What do you think?
Is she cute or what?
Do you know what she really is?

She's a pot holder! Cool, huh?
I really don't think she'll keep your creamy little fingers from getting burned but her cuteness makes up for that!

Look at her Cover Girl face!
Precious!

Here's her sister.
I couldn't just stop with one
I had to make two!
Twins. Twinkies! :)

Crochets yard birds looking so cute.
Pot holders but more importantly CUTE!
Crocheted bodies, crocheted head,
crocheted red comb and waddle,
crocheted beak and French knot eyes!
I'm so talented, aren't I? LOL
Now what else can I get into?
Actually, I made these to poke in with my giveaway to BJ & Teresa. and I hope they like them.

Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia :)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song~

Dream Lover

Every night I hope and pray
A dream lover will come my way
A girl to hold in my arms
And know the magic of her charms
'Cause I want (yeah-yeah, yeah)
A girl (yeah-yeah, yeah)
To call (yeah-yeah, yeah)
My own (yeah-yeah)
I want a dream lover
So I don't have to dream alone

Dream lover, where are you
With a love, oh, so true
And the hand that I can hold
To feel you near as I grow old
'Cause I want (yeah-yeah, yeah)
A girl (yeah-yeah, yeah)
To call (yeah-yeah, yeah)
My own (yeah-yeah, yeah)
I want a dream lover
So I don't have to dream alone

Someday, I don't know how
I hope she'll hear my plea
Some way, I don't know how
She'll bring her love to me

Dream lover, until then
I'll go to sleep and dream again
That's the only thing to do
Till all my lover's dreams come true
'Cause I want (yeah-yeah, yeah)
A girl (yeah-yeah, yeah)
To call (yeah-yeah, yeah)
My own (yeah-yeah, yeah)
I want a dream lover
So I don't have to dream alone

Dream lover, until then
I'll go to sleep and dream again
That's the only thing to do
Till all my lover's dreams come true
'Cause I want (yeah-yeah, yeah)
A girl (yeah-yeah, yeah)
To call (yeah-yeah, yeah)
My own (yeah-yeah)
I want a dream lover
So I don't have to dream alone

Please don't make me dream alone
I beg you don't make me dream alone
No, I don't wanna dream

  35. My grandmother crocheted and made us all sorts of things. One of my most cherished possessions is an afghan she made me when I graduated from high school. It's nice that you can relax and enjoy such a fun thing. Have a great Sunday. Thank you also for visiting my blog. Come and join me Wed. night for Open House Party. I'm guest hosting while Sherry is away. Hope to see you there!

  36. Hello Shelia! I use to crochet and this reminds me the happiness it brings me whenever I managed to finish one. However, I'm used to doing doilies. Your chicks are more complicated and deserves to be called art from the heart :) Have a great Sunday!
