Hello, Dear Ones!
Groovin' . . . on a Sunday afternoon
Really couldn't get away too soon
The world is ours whenever we're together
There ain't a place I'd like to be instead of . . .
Groovin' . . . down a crowded avenue
Doin' anything we like to do
There's always lots of things that we can see
We can be anyone we want to be
And all those happy people we could meet just . . .
Groovin'
We'll keep on spending sunny days this way
We're gonna talk and laugh our time away
I feel it comin' closer day by day
Life would be ecstasy, you and me endlessly . . .
Groovin' . . . on a Sunday afternoon
Really couldn't get away too soon
Guess you've figured out there's isn't much going on here at Note Songs cottage today!
So I just decided to sing you a song! :)
Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)
I'm joining for 5 Minutes Just For Me for Sunday Song,
I've left you a little Note Song~ above :)
Hi Shelia, I love that song and this is such a sweet vignette on your table. It's nice to have a lazy afternoon sometimes! Blessings, Mildred
ReplyDeleteHi Shelia, thanks for the serenade! It was lovely brought back some fond memories. Love your sweet vignette. It's way too hot around here to do much of anything. hugs ~lynne~
ReplyDeleteI love it that you have been groovin and singing Sheila! Stay cool and have a lovely Sunday!
ReplyDeleteBest wishes,
Natasha @ 5 minutes Just for Me.
This would make a great Sunday Song post ;)
Lovin' the green hydrangeas Sheila! Did you hear that cat screeching in the background? Yep, that was me singing with you:@)
ReplyDeleteLove that song. Thank you for singing it.
ReplyDeleteHello sweet lady,
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful song and such lovely photos! I love that vase, it is really pretty and those hydrangeas are gorgeous!
Have a lovely rest of your weekend!
Hugs, Cindy
Thanks for the song, sweet Sheila! I was BUSY today "summerizing" the house with SHELLS! I will be posting that soon! Love your hydrangeas and that container is gorgeous! XO, Pinky
ReplyDeleteHi Sweet Shelia, I love THIS SONG...and remember it well! ;) Sure do wish you were going to be in Canada with the Summer Breeze girls...We're gonna miss your smiling face! :( I certainly understand though; Claudie said "I think" that you were getting company during that time and thus couldn't make it up. I'm nearly packed, just finished up renovating my office area the past couple weeks. Painted it Tiffany Aqua Blue...stop by and take a peek, I posted about it. Ciao for now smiling friend! Blessings... :)
ReplyDeleteThat's an old favorite of mine! Thanks for the memories. We were listening to 60's rock on the radio while working in the garage this afternoon - the golden oldies. :-) Blessings, Pamela
ReplyDeleteGroovin', by the Young Rascals, is my all-time favorite song, since it came out in 1967, I think! Never gets old, that song! I am happy you were enjoying it too. xo,
ReplyDeleteI love that gorgeous vase..and the word Groovy! ;D
ReplyDeleteI love reading and singing along with all your oldies but goodies! You crack me up in a good way. You always make me smile!
ReplyDeletePretty flowers!
OMG I heard "The 5th Dimensions" perform this at the IOWA state fair when I was around 12-14 yrs. young! What a trip down memory lane!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a groovy Sunday!
There's nothing like groovin on a Sunday afternoon or anytime. This was a fun post, love it. Hugs from your friend...Lu
ReplyDeleteThanks for the song. There's nothing like music to make someone happy. The flowers and vase are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteCandy
Love the photos and love the lyrics. Boy, that song sure brings back memories.
ReplyDeleteGood morning Shelia, Just what I love to do and I am trying hard to do just that. Just when my grands and children just left, my niece came to visit for a few days and they leave this morning. They stayed with my sister and we had a wonderful visit. She is recovering from breast cancer. So Scary. Her hair is just growing back and she has a happy attitude about it all. A lovely time with her sure perked me up. I have been worried sick. She lives on the Gulf in Florida.
ReplyDeleteThank you for singing to us this morning. Your pics are so sweet of the flowers. Happy Sunday and every day.
Love, Jeanne
Shelia, I love that song!! And, your wonderful and sweet pictures.
ReplyDeleteHappy and blessed Sunday to you!
Hugs, Barb
Same kind of wonderful day here. We are staying in and hiding from the heat. Planning to make tacos later this afternoon. :)
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty images and love your gorgeous large petal hydrangeas! I could hear the background harmonica playing to the song!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the memories.
:)

Hi there! I'm visiting from Natasha's Sunday Song hop - thanks for "singing" that great cruisin', groovin' song!

A big thank you for stopping by my blog and leaving your much appreciated comment. You get that crochet hook out and start creating. I just knew you must be one too. Hugs, Karie
ReplyDeleteHi Sheila,
ReplyDeleteIt's a beautiful bouquet, vase and a beautiful song too!
Hugs friend,
Cindy
Life is what you make it...and you've made yours quite beautiful. Love that vase!
ReplyDeleteThanks for being a part of Seasonal Sundays.

Miss Sheila...thank you for sharing your story with me about your piano. I've been soooo selfish and jealous in my life more times than I can say. It's wonderful to not feel like I'm alone.
ReplyDeleteWhat I know for certain is that there are life lessons every step of the way this side of heaven. It's my prayer we will all listen and learn from one another. Your note meant so much to me.
One day I'm gonna hear you play~
xoRebecca
LOVE IT ..now it's bedtime and how do I get that tune out of my head?
ReplyDeleteSheila, while your flowers, your vignette and your song are all wonderful, I am really loving that round window in the background! That makes for the greatest background for your picture! What a wonderful setting.
ReplyDeleteNow, I will go to bed singing too! Up way too late.
I had to laugh when you mentioned little Goldie's eyelashes - I tease her mama that she needs to stop putting eyelash extensions on her! So long - so gorgeous!
Have a great one dear.
I love lyrics, and your photographs are just gorgeous. Sheila I believe you are a kindred spirit. I spent some time browsing some of your other lovely posts. Music...we all have music to accompany our life, and lyrics to touch our hearts.
ReplyDeleteKaren
