Celebrate with Flowers!

Hello, Dear Ones! I hope you all have a wonderfully blessed, safe and happy 4th of July!

I've remade my floral arrangement in my sweet little milk glass basket! I hate to tell you but my old arrangement had been in this basket for over 10 years! Yes, ma'am, it had!! It was red roses and those little spiky white things! I did reuse the little spiky things!

Here's the way the flowers used to look and before I had a better camera! :)

Being so close to the the 4th of July, I made a little red, white and soft blue arrangement for the coffee table in the den. What do you think? Oh, just so you'll know ~ I'm not a magician and these items are not floating in the air ~ it's a glass topped table! Thought I had better clear that up before any of you got ideas or something! :)

I took out this book and the front cover is the TEXAS flag. How appropriate, don't you think?

Then I poked down these cute little individually wrapped patriotic candies in one of my sweet crystal bowls and set it atop of my TEXAS book. I'm so clever you know! :) Oh, I also placed (notice I didn't say 'poked down') a vintage 4th postcard in the bowl. Actually, I found some wonderful images on line and printed them out on card stock, inked the edges and voila ~ vintage copy catted cards! I love this stuff!

I did poke in 3 small flags to help with the celebration! Singing now...Oh, say can you see...

So, with all the celebrating happening on top of my coffee table, I just had to make a mosaic! God bless America and all of our service folks, past and present, who serve in our armed forces so we may live in a free country. And God bless you, my sweeties! :)

I'm joining these parties today:

Tabletop Tuesday at A Stroll Thru Life,

I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~

America The Beautiful

Oh beautiful, for spacious skies,
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
Above the fruited plain!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea!

Oh beautiful, for pilgrim feet
Whose stern impassioned stress
A thoroughfare of freedom beat
Across the wilderness!
America! America!
God mend thine every flaw,
Confirm thy soul in self-control,
Thy liberty in law!

Oh beautiful, for heroes proved
In liberating strife.
Who more than self their country loved
And mercy more than life!
America! America!
May God thy gold refine
‘Till all success be nobleness
And every gain divine!

Oh beautiful, for patriot dream
That sees beyond the years
Thine alabaster cities gleam
Undimmed by human tears!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea!

Oh beautiful, for halcyon skies,
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
Above the enameled plain!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
‘Till souls wax fair as earth and air
And music-hearted sea!

Oh beautiful, for pilgrims feet,
Whose stem impassioned stress
A thoroughfare for freedom beat
Across the wilderness!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
‘Till paths be wrought through
wilds of thought
By pilgrim foot and knee!

Oh beautiful, for glory-tale
Of liberating strife
When once and twice,
for man’s avail
Men lavished precious life!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
‘Till selfish gain no longer stain
The banner of the free!

Oh beautiful, for patriot dreams
That sees beyond the years
Thine alabaster cities gleam
Undimmed by human tears!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
‘Till nobler men keep once again
Thy whiter jubilee!

~ sung by all Americans
