Wigglin' Leaves Baby Dust

Hello, Dear Ones! We've had some visitors, my daughter and little granddaughter, Carter! We've had a ball but there are consequences to having a ball with your daughter and granddaughter!

Let me explain...

Just look at the top of my coffee table in the den...lots of tiny books. I think this will qualify for Tablescape Tuesday with Marty at A Stroll Thru Life, don't you? :)

Look what I did to the brick hearth ~ I covered it with a quilt and then set the fireplace screen on top so if little Carter fell on it, her fall would hopefully be a softer landing. Just look at the mess in front of it! :)

Just look at my sunporch! To keep Carter from trying to step down onto the tile floor and hurt herself, I put all of the furniture in front of the opening. It did help some!

So, little Carter was always wigglin'. Here she sits, for a moment, and flips through her book. Wigglin' tiny dainty creamy fingers.
Now don't adjust your glasses or your puter screen because these next few snaps are blurry...

Playing with her toys ~ wigglin'!

Granddaddy jugglin' Carter! The results? Lots of wigglin' and gigglin'!

Carter in the living room trying to spray her sippy cup all over Gran's coffee table! Wigglin'!

Gran giving a piano lesson. Fingers - wigglin'!

Eating ice cream with mom and lots of wigglin'!

Just so you'll know, baby wigglin' causes baby dust and my house is filled with it! Baby dust!

How did that rubber ducky get on top of my brownies?

All that baby wigglin' that causes baby dust makes a sleepy baby. Just a precious little darling!

My little guests are gone now and my house is a wreck! Baby dust is all over the place. So today I just need to get to cleaning. Do I mind? Shoot no! As I clean I'll think and remember all the little sweet spots my Little Tiny was just a wigglin' and a playin' and Gran was stealing kisses every chance she got!

Baby dust is a wonderful thing!

Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~

The Twist

Come on baby let's do the twist
Come on baby let's do the twist
Take me by my little hand and go like this
Ee-oh twist baby baby twist
Oooh-yeah just like this
Come on little miss and do the twist

My daddy is sleepin' and mama ain't around
Yeah daddy is sleepin' and mama ain't around
We're gonna twisty twisty twisty
'Til we turn the house down
Come on and twist yeah baby twist
Oooh-yeah just like this
Come on little miss and do the twist

Yeah you should see my little Sis
You should see my my litlle Sis
She really knows how to rock
She knows how to twist
Come on and twist yeah baby twist
Oooh-yeah just like this
Come on little miss and do the twist
Yeah rock on now
Yeah twist on now
Twist

  2. hi Shelia, I'm visiting over from Marty's TT. Your little Carter's visit is like a visit from my just turned three grandson Connor. Same set up still going on, it takes a lot of prep work to get ready for their visit. We still cover the fireplace to make sure if he falls something comes between him and the fireplace. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who does all this.
    I enjoy your blog.

  6. Your little "dust depositer" is so precious. It looks like you had just a lovely visit with your girls. "Grands" are simply the best part of getting older -- that would be however old you happen to be when those special little gifts arrive!

I was sorry to hear about your SIL. Your family is in my prayers.

  8. Sheila, she is so cute. She and Leila favor a lot with their blonde hair and blue eyes and little rolls of baby fat. I just love those rolls. I know you didn't mind at all making your house safe for her. Just what us Grands have to do.

  20. Shelia, I'm so jealous! Carter is so adorable and you got to enjoy her and all the baby dust she created while I'm missing my little Ewan so much and he's about the same age as Carter (9 months). Oh well, I may be making a trip to Alberta very soon to see my precious boy crawl around on all fours in real life. (I have seen him in action on Skype). I'm really happy for you! Have a great week. Blessings, Pamela

O, I KNOW the good time you had with your two girls.
From the first grandboy, 21 years ago, I had pillows lining my on the floor, brick hearth. And, with all 10 living close, my house was covered in baby dust for years...and I loved it!!:)
