Spring Mantlefestation

Hello, Dear Ones! Everyone is changing their decor to a more springy sunny palette and I didn't want to be left out. So I've messed with my mantle. I've created a sunny mantlefestation! :) What is a mantlefestation? Well, Dear Ones, I'm so glad you asked!

mantlefestation:

Main Entry:
man·tle·fes·ta·tion
Pronunciation:
\ˌman-tel-fə-ˈstā-shən,
Function:
noun
1 a: the act, process, or an instance of manifesting b (1): something that manifests or is manifest (2): a perceptible, outward, or visible expression

ALSO ~

Did you know you can spell mantle two ways? Yes, ma'am you can! Either mantle or mantel is correct. I always choose to use the spelling ~ 'mantle'. I thought you might want to know that! :)

Okay, enough of my book smarts :) and on with the show!

Here's my mantlefestation.
I think it's a little springy sunny look.

Lots of sunny springyness going on up there.
See, the sun is shining!

I just can't seem to take down my book page wreath.
If you'd like you can read about my making it, you can go HERE.

I brought out my little sunny urns with topiaries I made years ago.
I had a tea here at my house last month
and tied little ribbons between the poofs and they're still tied tight!

Our sunny mantle clock seems to love it up here also, so here it sits.

Since I live a couple of blocks from the beach,
my little sunny starfish is always in view somewhere.
Peek a boo ~ we see you! :) I'm such a silly.

I've brought out some of my thrifted sunny dishes
and popped them up on up the mantle.
Here's the right side...birdie, plate and cups.

Sweet little stacked up sunny cups!

Here's the left side ~ baby birds, a platter and dessert plate. Sunny!

I know many of you have these little sunny white breezy birds and I just love them.
Can you love little sunny white breezy birds?
Why, you bet your little sunny tweetie tweet tweets you can! :)

Well, Dear Ones, there you have my springyness sunny mantlefestation!
Hope you like it and have lots of sunnyness going on at your home.

Uh oh...I see I still have some Easter bunnies sitting on the hearth!
I'd better hop to it and put them away! :)
Shoot! No no Nannette! I'm going to enjoy the sunshine today!

I'm joining Our Dear Stephanie Lynn at Under the Table and Dreaming for Sunday Showcase,
Our Dear Courtney at French Country Cottage for Feathered Nest Friday,
Our Dear Wendy at The Shabby Nest for Frugal Friday,
Our Dear Cindy at My Romantic Home for Show and Tell Friday,

Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song~

Here Comes the Sun

Here comes the sun, doo doo doo doo
Here comes the sun, and I say
It's alright

Little darling
It's been a long, cold, lonely winter
Little darling
It feels like years since it's been here

Here comes the sun
Here comes the sun, and I say
It's alright

Little darling
The smiles returning to the faces
Little darling
It seems like years since it's been here

Here comes the sun
Here comes the sun, and I say
It's alright

Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes

Little darling
I see the ice is slowly melting
Little darling
It seems like years since it's been clear

Here comes the sun, here comes the sun and i say,
It's alright
~ sung by The Beatles

Your mantel looks wonderful. What a nice change for the change of seasons. Perhaps you feel that you're entering too many memes with this post, but it seems so perfect for Seasonal Sundays. I'd love to have you. The stacking of teacups always adds that perfect whimsical touch.

  8. Hi Shelia, Your mantle is very refreshing and colorful. I am a dishaholic and I love your dishes especially. Wish you were here to help decorate my mantle. I am limited by "Cat-proof" items!!!!! I once had matching topiaries similar to yours but kitty knocked one to the floor!
Wishing you a happy week full of sunshine.

  17. Love your mantle (mantal)! I just acquired an old worn out book of Shakespeare at GW - JUST to make that wreath! I thought perhaps it might lend an air of Old England to my cottage! Actually, my daughter will help make it since I would like it done sooner rather than waaaaay later!

  19. You always make me smile, Shelia. I love your sweet wittiness and your poetry. The mantle looks so lovely. I would be calling that china collection "Happy Dishes." I started using that term when I started collecting Fiesta Ware, & now several of my friends use it as well. The wreath is so pretty and I've already bookmarked it for later.
