A Little Change

Hello, Dear Ones! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I'm showing just a little change I've made on my "play" table in the den. You know the one - you have a space like this too - you change it as often as you do your purse! :)

The picture on the wall stays the same but I just play all over the top of this drop leaf Duncan Phyfe table. Those silly bunnies hopped off so I had to redecorate it.

I've captured this pretty white bird and poked him under my newly painted chicken wired cloche. He loves it here and just sings and sings! :) You know how I 'live' my music so this makes me happy!

I poked down this little nest with eggs and sat it atop of these little books. You know how birds, nests and eggs go together. I'm sure because the nest with eggs is sitting on the books, this will help to make the tiny baby birds so smart when they hatch. Well, I don't know when that will be, since this nest with eggs is faux and I've had it for about three years. :) Nothing's happened yet!

I just love my olden Good Will lamp. It's shaped like a ginger jar and has these raised flowers on it.

When I bought the lamp it had no shade so I found this one. It just needed something so I glued on this beaded trim and I just love it.

It's rather dark in the den and it's hard to get a good snap. But I guess the darkness makes it a bit cozy.

I'm sure I'll be fiddling with my 'play' table soon, but for now I'm enjoying this.

Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song~

Happy Together
Imagine me and you, I do
I think about you day and night
It's only right
To think about the girl you love
And hold her tight
So happy together
If I should call you up
Invest a dime
And you say you belong to me
And ease my mind
Imagine how the world could be
So very fine
So happy together
{Refrain}
I can't see me loving nobody but you
For all my life
When you're with me
Baby the skies will be blue
For all my life
Me and you
And you and me
No matter how they tossed the dice
It had to be
The only one for me is you
And you for me
So happy together
Me and you
And you and me
No matter how they tossed the dice
It had to be
The only one for me is you
And you for me
So happy together
Me and you
And you and me
No matter how they tossed the dice
It had to be
The only one for me is you
And you for me
So happy together
So happy together
How is the weather
So happy together
We're happy together
So happy together...

  45. Shelia, The drop leaf table is the perfect surface to redecorate with the change in season or just on a whim!
I love your bird theme. The cloce is beautiful as is your little captured bird! ANd that darling nest on the books is a perfect accent to carry through your theme! Do you think if I sit on some diet books I could loose weight? Does it work like that? If it works for the baby birds, well maybe it will work for me. Now off to look for those WW magazines!

  50. Ohhhhh...this song....Happy Together - one of my favorite HIGH SCHOOL songs. I was dating a most handsome young man - who a few months later went away in the service & we were going to wait for each other...but, alas, he found someone else while he was in California. About a year ago, I happened to see him on Facebook and golly, has he changed!!! YIKES!! (But then, so have I - only not so much!!)

Always a good time popping in here!
