I Fell the Earth Move
I feel the earth move under my feet
I feel the sky tumbling down
I feel my heart start to trembling
Whenever you're around
Oh, baby, when I see your face
Mellow as the month of May
Oh, darling, I can't stand it
When you look at me that way
I feel the earth move under my feet
I feel the sky tumbling down
I feel my heart start to trembling
Whenever you're around
Oh, darling, when you're near me
And you tenderly call my name
I know that my emotions
Are something that I just can't tame
I've just got to have you, baby
I feel the earth move under my feet
I feel the sky tumbling down, tumbling down
I feel the earth move under my feet
I feel the sky tumbling down, tumbling down
I just lose control
Down to my very soul
I get hot and cold all over
I feel the earth move under my feet
I feel the sky tumbling down
Tumbling down
Tumbling down
Tumbling down
Tumbling down

I love it Sheila everythings looks like spring fresh and new!Enjoy your changed space I did the same thing a few weeks ago and it did so much for my space.
ReplyDeleteYour room is gorgeous! I think it looks so fresh and springy!! I wish I could move some furniture around...but we have so many windows!!
ReplyDeleteShelia,
ReplyDeleteI learned something new about you today...you play piano and play church hymns...I love hymns from church. I am Lutheran and while I know many hymns are similar I hold them deep in my memory and cherish the songs.
Also, I like to move the furniture; it gives the 'old' a sense of 'new' and what a nice thing in spring!
I'll be singin' I feel the earth move under my feet...all night! love Carole King and the Tapestry album :)
Sheila, I love the new arrangement. It is fun switching things up for a fresh look. Love your vignettes, too.
ReplyDeleteHi Shelia I just love the new furniture arrangement!! Your living room looks beautiful, and you put together such pretty vignettes. I just love the shells in that big glass thingy!! Martina
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous home! I think we have the same paint color in our living room and I have a lot of tans and reds too. Your living room is what my living room wants to be when it grows up.
ReplyDeleteOh Shelia, you have a beautiful home and I love your new arrangement, it's perfect! That Baby Grand is just gorgeous and I love your hymnals sitting ready for you to play! Awe, look at Miss Chloe Dawn, so bashful... till she gets her hair done. Now that is too cute!
ReplyDeleteI'll try to be a sweetie, sweetie!
Hugs,
Nancy
Shelia,
ReplyDeleteIt is so fun to rearrange a room, isn't it?? Our cats find it fascinating and always show up for it!
Your living room looks great! I always notice your gleaming foyer floor and your special banister, too!
Very pretty, Shelia! I love to switch around my furniture once in awhile, too. Especially with the seasons! I love your sofa, the pattern and colors are beautiful. Everything mixes so well.
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to your party and I mentioned it in my post today!
XO,
Jane
I love how you decorated your coffee table. My mom would envy your piano and your ability to play. She wanted me to play, but I did not enjoy it. Mom only knows how to play by ear, and a little to play the hymnals too, but one thing she regrets is that she sold her piano when we moved. Nobody was using it and it was ugly, so a young woman who wanted to take lessons herself bought it. At least hopefully it is more used and loved now. Hope you have a great week!
ReplyDeleteShelia, I also love your new arrangement. Isn't it great when an idea comes along and it just works? I love your piano and didn't know you play for your church. My hubby also plays for our church but he plays the electric keyboards, sometimes 2 at a time! Have a great week! Happy Spring!! Pamela
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful - looks like pages right out of House Beautiful to me. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Spring, Sheila!
Roeshel
Oh Shelia! It looks wonderful and oh how I LOVE your sofa!! The placement is perfect, the flow is fabulous!!!
ReplyDeleteJust Gorgeous!
Lou Cinda
Hi Shelia, What a pretty facelift you gave your living room. Your furniture is just lovely and I love what you have on your coffee table. It was fun to see your piano and where you play and practice so much. Doesn't moving furniture around feel so good? It really does.
ReplyDeleteDonna
I just love coming by your blog. I always smile! Your home is just so lovely and that room is so welcoming! Beautiful :)
ReplyDeleteThere's no place like home! I always need to change things around in spring too. Such a lovely place you have!
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful and inviting room!!! I love your new arrangement also!!! I love those little bird plates on your tables!!!
ReplyDeleteKisses to Miss Chloe!!!
Hi Sheila,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the visit to your living room. I love all the changes you made, and those two chairs look oh so comfy. I didn't know you played for your church. I know that is a job that takes a lot of your time. Chloe Dawn looks cute anyway. :)
D
Your home is just GORGEOUS...but I do have to take exception to your song choice...I would prefer NOT to feel the earth move under my feet, if you don't mind! ;}
ReplyDeletem ^..^
Hi Sheila, Your living room looks beautiful! Love the change...
ReplyDeleteSassy is scheduled for a shower with ME tomorrow...lol. We take one together twice a week. She doesn't like it but she will slowly get in. When she is done she runs like mad through the house! Your little Chloe Dawn is so precious and she will feel better after tomorrow.
I would love to join your party! I will have to clean out to participate though...hehe. I'm not the most organized behind closed doors!
Kristen
Shelia it all looks gorgeous! Love Miss sweet Chloe Dawn too. She's so pretty.
ReplyDeleteWarmly, ~Melissa :)
Shelia it's gorgeous. It all looks so good together I know it would be hard to pick a pattern to go with it.... unless it was a solid color. Trish
ReplyDeleteLove the room and the new arrangement is GREAT....Have a great week
ReplyDeleteShelia,
ReplyDeleteI just discovered your blog today and became an immediate follower.

Oh Shelia, what a beautiful first impression! Your living room is gorgeous. Love your little chair with the pretty little legs.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day,
Gail
P.S. Chloe Dawn is adorable!
Your home is so lovely and the grand piano is divine. The song brought back memories of a time I nearly wore out the Tapestry album listening to it so many times! We must be about the same age! Have a good day. Jane

G'morn Shelia ~ What a lovely change. Nice to see others brave enough to leave & enjoy change. So enjoy changing things around, but I always put them right back where I had them.

And, Chloe Dawn is just darling ...
Happy spring ~

ReplyDeleteThe changes look wonderful! I have never noticed your piano before. How wonderful that must sound with you sitting there practicing. I long admired the skill of our wonderful piano player at the church I grew up in. I can still hear her playing "In the Garden."

Hi Sheila Sweetie...
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful share today. I love this room. It is so comfortable. I could sit on this sofa and listen to you play all day. We could just go through the hymnals and share and sing. Oh happy day.
Such a beautiful and peaceful room. I can't thank you enough for sharing. Your vignettes are just breathtaking. What peace that shell arrangement gave me in your clear glass jar. I felt as if I could smell the ocean and feel the mist on my face.
Love the view of your hallway and the stairs. It is gorgeous. Your floors are so shiny.
Most of all, love the Chloe Dawn. Can't wait to see her smile for the camera.
Many hugs sweetie and SO much love, Sherry
You have a beautiful home, Shelia! It is very traditional, my favorite style...Christine
ReplyDeleteHi Sheila,
ReplyDeleteI love Carole King! She is such a talented lady. Love your new look! Your sofa is wonderful and I love the colour of it! The chairs look fabulous with it too. I love your coffee table most of all! Sort of reminds me of my own until I painted it! Yup, I know, you're probably horrified that I painted my walnut table! But after three little ones and company that wouldn't keep their feet off it, it was looking rather beat up. So, I took a deep breath and sanded it down, primed it, and after six coats, yes six, coats of white paint, she's looking fabulous! Oh, I distressed it too, BTW. I love it and so does everyone else. Except for my kids! They think everything should remain the same as it was when they were growing up!! ;) I hope to join you for your Favourite Cupboard party. We'll see how it goes! Hope you're enjoying this first week of Spring.
Blessings,
Sandi

hello Shelia,
ReplyDeleteLove it when a room comes together and it makes you smile and want to sing! This is just so lovely. I have to tell you, my daughter would drool over your piano. She has been taking lessons since she was about 7. She's only got a few more lessons until graduating High School. She's our church pianist - love being serenaded every day by her playing...
pure joy!
Kathy
How pretty, Shelia! It looks like you are ready for spring! Love those little birds! Happy week!...hugs...Debbie

ReplyDeleteYou have a very lovely home, & the room you were sharing looks like it has evolved into a master piece. It's obvious that you take pride in having your home look pretty but also very inviting. I could have settled right down on that beautiful sofa & had a cup of tea while you played the piano. I feel the same way about my things -- I truly love them.
ReplyDeleteCAS

Hi Shelia! I discovered your blog from Savvy Southern Style's Wow Wednesday. I must say that your house gave me a real "wow!" Your home is posh but still relaxing. It looks so organized. Your piano is also so pretty.
ReplyDeleteI hope we could develop a connection by following each others blogs. That would really make me happy.
I wish you more wow wednesdays friend!
Hi Sheila...

Shelia it looks beautiful!! And I love that picture arrangement. The piano is gorgeous too! Vanna
ReplyDeleteHello Shelia, I too loved talking to you today. I knew we would get along perfectly. We will have a wonderful time in Canada. I think we need passports. Just a thought. Smile.
ReplyDeleteIt is late and I will say goodnight.
Love, Jeanne
Oh my Sheila, I sure do know what you mean....I have had the urge to move and shove and take down and put back up a lot lately. My old dresser in the family room has three large paintings stacked on top of it waiting to go on the wall and I am making other changes too. Change is good. My Daddy used to say "every old board needs a new coat of paint every now and then". Actually, I am not sure he didn't mean "broad" too. LOL...your living room is so warm and inviting. Wish I could sit there and listen to you play the piano. :) Happy Thursday.
ReplyDeleteHello Shelia, it's me Sheila from "Beyond the Portico" Thanks for becoming my newest follower and hopefully a friend. OMGosh I love your house. It's AMAZING and soooooo HUGE! Can you sense a tad bit of jealousy here, JK. Was looking through some older posts and ran across your master bathroom redo from back in October. Great job! I noticed you kept the "avacado" tub. Did you know you can paint it? Yes I did say PAINT. There is a special porcelain paint made just for painting porcelain tubs, sinks and the like. Ask your contractor about it or ask the specialists at Lowe's or a similar home improvement store. It would be tons cheaper than a replacement tub and a lot less MESS and the best part no more AVACADO. Anywaysssss, just a thought. Have a fabulous day relaxing in your newly arranged living room.
ReplyDeleteI always pick up a great song to cycle in my head over here not to mention seein' your beautiful home. Would ya look at all those hymnals!!!! Don't think I didn't notice the beautiful shine ya have on that floor! Heeehehehe!!!
ReplyDeleteGod bless ya sweetie and have a marvelous day!!!
You have a beautiful home. I like to move things around too. I am always getting the urge! I think your changes are great, they really open the room up and invite you in. What a stunning piano you have too! I envy your ability to play. Have a terrific weekend, I hope you get some sunshine!
ReplyDeleteHi Shelia, Your living room looks positively wonderful - so much brighter and cheery the way you have it now. It was great visiting and sitting down in your nice room. :)
ReplyDeleteNice to visit again.
Hugs, Ruthie
I adore that Chloe Dawn!
ReplyDeleteThe room looks great. I love the seashell touch.
Hello dearest Shelia,
ReplyDeleteI love your living room, you have such soft, pretty colors in it. Your new arrangement shows it off beautifully, too. Your entryway is gorgeous, the floor is so shiny! And I adore your baby grand piano!!! I play a little, I would love to hear you play that piano, it would be so lovely, I'm sure!
Love and hugs, Cindy
Isn't it amazing how a few changes in a room can make us feel almost rejuvinated? Silly, but I redid my kitchen last year and I found myself standing in it for the next couple weeks not wanting to leave it. Change can be a wonderful thing!
ReplyDelete-Bethanie
SO Gorgeous Shelia,
ReplyDeleteI LOVE EVERY Detail. I KNOW that your couch would have followed me home(LOVE IT) and it's a beautiful focal point... I Knew I saw your piano peeking out in the first photos... I Collect "OLD" Gorgeous Sheet music. I can't get enough of it. I LOVE classical music BEST and my favorite piano piece is "Moonlight Sonata"! Growing up I wore out my sheet music, hehe!!!
Thank you for sharing your beautiful home.
Hugs to you,
Donna
Oh, how I'd love to sit on your sofa and listen to you play the piano! Maybe we could play a duet, too, while we're at it. Your room is so lovely and I love all the little changes you made. What a welcome place you've put together.
ReplyDelete~Adrienne~
Sheila, thanks so much for sharing this at my WUW party.
ReplyDeleteShelia -- I absolutely adore the changes -- it is amazing what moving a little furntiure can do to make a real change!
ReplyDeleteHi Shelia~ What a lovely living room!! I love your much loved sofa :) and your chairs that you found to go with it! That piano is fantastic too!! Your home looks very warm and beautiful! Thanks for sharing this at FNF! :)
ReplyDeleteIt looks all ready for Spring, Sheila! Sometimes moving furniture and things around makes the room looks fresher {even if it is all the same stuff, just in different spots}. It looks like I have the same exact lay-out as you in my house. Looking from your living room into the foyer ~ you could be in my house!
ReplyDelete
