Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)
I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~
Cinderella
She spins and she sways
To whatever song plays,
Without a care in the world.
And I'm sitting here wearing
The weight of the world on my shoulders.
It's been a long day, and there's still work to do.
She pulling at me saying, "Dad, I need you.
There's a ball at the castle, and I've been invited.
And I need to practice my dancing.
Oh, please. Daddy, please."
So I will dance with Cinderella,
While she is here in my arms.
'Cuz I know something the prince never knew.
Oh I will dance with Cinderella.
I don't want to miss even one song.
'Cuz all too soon, the clock will strike midnight...
And she'll be gone.
She says he's a nice guy, and I'd be impressed.
She wants to know if I approve of the dress.
She says, "Dad, the prom is just one week away.
And I need to practice my dancing.
Oh, please. Daddy, please."
So I will dance with Cinderella,
While she is here in my arms.
'Cuz I know something the prince never knew.
Oh, oh, oh I will dance with Cinderella.
I don't want to miss even one song.
'Cuz all too soon, the clock will strike midnight...
And she'll be gone
She will be gone.
She came home today, with the ring on her hand,
Just glowing and telling us all they had planned.
She says, "Dad, the wedding's still six months away.
But I need to practice my dancing.
Oh, please. Daddy, please."
So I will dance with Cinderella,
While she is here in my arms.
'Cuz I know something the prince never knew.
Oh, oh,oh I will dance with Cinderella.
I don't want to miss even one song.
'Cuz all too soon, the clock will strike midnight...
And she'll be gone.

You bet your seedless grapes...you are so cute. I do not think I am a capable of a mature corner Sheila...LOL...but I sure enjoyed yours, and it looks so pretty.
ReplyDeleteLove the "mature corner". The tole tray is such a good choice for the grown up grounding. My only trouble with the grapes, I would be trying to each them and have a bunch of little prongs left.LOL They do look so real!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite are the chickens/roosters? I am not good at the gender stuff. Love you, Ginger
You have a very pretty mature corner. Trish
ReplyDeleteLOVE LOVE LOVE the tole tray. I keep looking and looking for one -- they are SCARCE!
ReplyDeleteAt least for what I want to pay for one. :-)
As for your mature corner -- it is lovely, but PLEASE don't grow up TOO much!
Cass
Cuteness!!! :)
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Melissa
It is more mature and nice...but I was so glad to still see the chickens! LOL
ReplyDeleteIt really is very beautiful but I smiled really big when I saw the chickens!
ReplyDeleteIt's very grown up! Now get back to being the silly girl we all know and love!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend, hugs, B.
Love the mature corner especially the cabbage S&P and artichoke box. Glad you have gone completely mature though!!!!
ReplyDeleteYour very mature corner vignette is very pretty. I love the cabbage salt and pepper. The song is pretty too.

Drooling over the tray. I always love your tongue in cheek posts they make me smile.
ReplyDeleteOh Shelia, you are so funny. Your corner looks fabulous. I love the tray and the little chest is such a great piece. The cabbage, artichoke and fruit are just the perfect finishing touches. You always do great vignettes. I love your roosters also, so how could it not all be perfect. Very mature and so stunning. Hugs, Marty

ReplyDeleteawww, Shelia girl, YOU and MATURE shouldn't even be together in a sentence. :))
ReplyDeleteThis is indeed, very pretty...however, I have always loved your lighthearted, "not just like everyone elses" arrangements in your lovely house.
Sooo, I say, whatever mood you're in..go for it.
Now, with MOI being as OLDEN as I am, I stay the *&% away from ANYthing....mature !!! :))
The tray is a beautiful background for your mature look. ; ) You're an inspiration!
ReplyDeleteSmiles,
Carol

Sweet Shelia, I only wish you truly knew how much we all love your sillies...it gives us a smile when we most need it...plus I totally relate!!!
ReplyDeleteIt looks very nice, Shelia! But we love your ways, your fun banter. We love you just the way you are. Please don't mature and leave us!
ReplyDeleteBrenda
I love the tray. I for one really enjoy your blog, why mature things? It makes life so much for fun and interesting. Sue

Your corner is oh so mature! Looks great! I LOVE the little chest!
ReplyDeleteHi Shelia, I like everything you do to decorate. This is lovely and as always very charming. You did make me laugh though. Your idea to mature your decorating is pretty funny. But I say, do whatever makes you smile or sing!!! LOL.
ReplyDeleteWarm hugs to you in this cold winter this year.
Jeanne
I LOVE the painted tray, it's GORGEOUS!!! and the whole vignette is wonderful! Oh Yes Marty has such beautiful style! I LOVE Faux goodies too, and my kitchen is full of them... I can't remember which show, BUT I think it was Dick Van Dyk's show, where he was STARVING and when no one was looking BIT THE Faux apple and "WAS STUCK"??? I always think of him when I look at my "Fake fruit", hehe!!!
ReplyDeleteBEAUTIFUL Post Shelia,
Warm Winter Hugs to you,
Donna
I love your "mature" corner! I really like the fruit plate.
ReplyDeleteI try to put a little fruit in diffferent rooms to remind me to have the fruits of the spirit.
I fall short but it's a good reminder.
Hugs!
Hi Shelia
ReplyDeleteCute vignette...fun..and the fruit were so nice and colourful...lovely faux... Your hens are so attractive and I love the tray.
Hope you had a great weekend....wondering if you have projects on the go....
*hugs*
Judi
What a lovely vignette, Sheila! I love that little chest! I saw one that was longer and looked like all the dressers people are redoing for buffets in their homes, but it was missing a drawer. I would definitely have bought it; I'm sure it was a jewelry box, but I would have used it as a miniature piece of furniture for my future home office shelves.
ReplyDeleteShelia, your corner os so pretty. You have picked up the tray colors and subject perfectly! laurie
ReplyDeleteShelia:
ReplyDeleteI think this may be my all time favor. Love the colors!
