Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)
I'll leave you with a little Note Song~
Help!
Help, I need somebody,
Help, not just anybody,
Help, you know I need someone, help.
When I was younger, so much younger than today,
I never needed anybody's help in any way.
But now these days are gone, I'm not so self
assured,
Now I find I've changed my mind and opened up the
doors.
Help me if you can, I'm feeling down
And I do appreciate you being round.
Help me, get my feet back on the ground,
Won't you please, please help me.
And now my life has changed in oh so many ways,
My independence seems to vanish in the haze.
But every now and then I feel so insecure,
I know that I just need you like I've never done
before.
Help me if you can, I'm feeling down
And I do appreciate you being round.
Help me, get my feet back on the ground,
Won't you please, please help me.
When I was younger, so much younger than today,
I never needed anybody's help in any way.
But now these days are gone, I'm not so self
assured,
Now I find I've changed my mind and opened up the
doors.
Help me if you can, I'm feeling down
And I do appreciate you being round.
Help me, get my feet back on the ground,
Won't you please, please help me, help me, help me

Sheila, I love your southern accent. lol
ReplyDeleteI haven't even started disassembling Christmas trees or decorations. I feel your pain! I'm likely to draw it out for days as well.
Looks like you made a dent! Hurray!
Roeshel
You know what they say...God heps those that hep themselves so I'm a fixin' to hep mysef (that's right I said "mysef" lol)
ReplyDeleteAll of my decorations are piled up on the extra sofa and refuse to jump into the storage bins by themselves! Lazy dang thangs! I think it's time for another diet Dr. Pepper!
Hugs, Bridge
I feel your pain...we took 2 houses down today and Friday we take the house that has 3 trees and one tree has 4,000 plus ornaments...My back is already hurting....
ReplyDeleteHorray for you. Even I feel better that you have those balls put away! Now if you would come to Chicago to help me. I'll buy you some Diet Cherry Dr. Pepper!! ;-D
ReplyDeleteXO,
Jane
My Christmas stuff has been down for a week, and I'm still sweeping up glitter, etc. I'm no help, but I'd come and have a diet Pepsi with you and cheer you on. Sally
ReplyDeleteYou HEP me and I will HEP you LOL!~ OH my Sheila you are so organized though, you even put the balls back in the boxes...not me!
ReplyDeleteOh you cute thing! I'll hep you if you hep me! I am doing the same thing and I need lots of hep! I will be thinking of you while I am cleaning the mess here at my house! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteXOXO
Cathy
Oh girl I just got my kitchen done on Sunday and need to still do the tree...the older I get the behinder I get ha ha!! Hey if I just wait it will be Christmas again ha ha!! Love ya my Dear sweet friend..Hugs and smiles Gloria
ReplyDeleteHep me, too! I still intend to put my tree up and have Christmas in either January or February. LOL!
ReplyDeleteLoved seeing all the Christmas balls, Shelia, and you deserve two cokes for all of that hard work and maybe half a dozen cookies, too. I had the other half dozen to cheer you on!
XO,
Sheila :-)
Just take your time but Keep On Truckin' Sheila, you'll get it done:@) Lovin' your "cute olden sorta balls", they are just fab!
ReplyDeleteYou're way ahead of me Shelia, so pleeeeease come help me when you're all done! Your Christmas "balls" look so pretty, all organized, almost making a pretty design on the floor. I think you are a much neater and more organized packer than me (of course, that's not saying much, since I'm not very good at all at organizing!) Wishing you and your family a wonderful 2011! laurie
ReplyDeleteHere's a helping hand...now let's get this finished, shall we?
ReplyDeleteI am so glad that mine are all put away. If I was close by I would hep, ya!
ReplyDeleteI am through for the day too. I packed 3 bins today....I am plum near tuckered out!
ReplyDeleteBtw, did you see my new header?? Not as fancy as yours, but I kinda like it.
Funny! All I have left of our Christmas decorations is one lone poinsetta plant. I hate to throw it out but it just won't live in our climate, inside or out. I would hep you if I was closer!
ReplyDeleteYou just got finished putting them up! Boy, all that work, I think I would leave them up till the end of January. I say we protest and have Christmas extended. Sounds like you need to start the a month before next year.
ReplyDeleteHang in there, kick your feet up and rest.
Your banner looks fantastic, Shelia! I have everything (most everything I think) packed away in the plastic boxes. But there they sit on the deck, with nowhere yet to store them. Gonna have to start pitching stuff from the garage, I reckon.
ReplyDeleteBrenda
Ahhh...!!!!
ReplyDeleteI think we've all felt this way...and I definitely have the accent to holler for hep! lol ♥
ReplyDeleteWell you don't need any hep naw! Lol! Ya'll have got it well in hand. But I'll join ya in that coke! Seriously though, isn't it wonderful to have it all put neatly away for next year?
ReplyDeleteThanks for stoppin' by my place Shelia. I've been gone a while due to a family health crisis but I'm back naw! *winks* Vanna
Oh, Shelia...I feel your pain! It took me two days going non-stop (ok, I did take a few breaks) to get all my stuff packed up. Doesn't it seem like we just put it all out?!!! You know what, Texan talk sounds a lot like the way folks in GA talk. ;) I pictured you standing with your hankie out, batting your eyelashes as you called "Hep!"
ReplyDeleteAwww :) If i was there, i would LOVE to help you pack up. Hehe :) Good job! I think i put my Christmas Decorations away on new years day. :) Was good to get rid of them! Haha Sad, but true. :) Now i am working on cleaning up!
ReplyDeleteHope your having fun. :) xo
The worst part of taking all the decorations down is all the bending and kneeling! ugh! I think a bite of chocolate with that Dr. Pepper might be good medicine too Shelia!
ReplyDeleteI'd help you too! It's a chore, I know! Love the decorating, hate the putting away! Hope you get it done soon!
ReplyDeleteNancy
I still have my mantel to go... right there with ya!
ReplyDeleteWish I could hep..but I would take off your hands..those Olden sorta balls!!!
ReplyDeleteUntil next year..pack it away!
That's a lot of balls! I'm on day 4 and counting of the de-decking process here. So sorry I can be no hep to you, kinda need some hep myself!
ReplyDeleteAt least yours look somewhat organized...mine are a mess to behold. I was in such a rush to get that tree out of the house that I placed the decorations all over the hutch top, the sofa table, the dining room table...I just got in a frenzy...then rushed over to "hep!" you...saw how organized it all looks and went back to my mess!
ReplyDeleteHugs to you...I'm no help at all. Back is screaming...feet ache...what a mess!!
I love you though...does that "hep?"
Mona
:):) Tomorrow will be better, Sweetcakes, I promise!
ReplyDeleteHowdy Sheila! My floor looks a lot like yours only I didn't put as many ornaments on my tree this year. I still have glitter and garlands and pieces of this and that scattered throughout. It takes a long time, doesn't it? Just wanted to pop over to wish you a blessed New Year. So glad I came so I could offer some Hep! :)
ReplyDeleteLove ya,Donna
Sheila,
ReplyDeleteI have been doing the same thing today. I didn't think I'd ever finish. Then you gotta figure out how your house is supposed look "normal"! It sure seems to take a lot longer to put it up than it does to get it all out.
Ah...a fellow music lover ;) Love your lyrics. I used to belong to a few music sites, and we played trivia. Looks like you've got your work cut out for you with the holiday decor, I do not envy you. On a side note, what a pretty home you have! Thank you for your kind comment on my "paper trail" post. xoxo tami
ReplyDeleteLord willing, this week-end the rest of my Christmas decorations will be put away.
ReplyDeleteIt always looks bland to me at first when they have been put away.
Looking forward to Spring!
d
Hey Shelia, you hang in there....it will get done!
ReplyDeleteBarb ♥
I'm taking a break while taking down our Christmas!! I guess I need hep too! Your ornaments look lovely lolling about on the floor. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and best wishes for the coming year.
ReplyDeleteNow, break time is over, back to the task at hand!!
Best,
Bonnie
What a beautiful collection of ornaments you have and thank you for your visit to my blog today.
ReplyDeleteLove the crosses in your collection most!
It's sad they must be stored for so many months each year.
Happy New Year!
Sandy
OMYLORDY...just looking at all this wears me to a frazzle.
ReplyDeleteI'm just too olden, I think, to do all that. whew..bless your little Diet Cherry Dr. Pepper drinking heart.
You DO have some beautiful balls....*turning red faced...:)))
I would come and help you if I could! All your sweet beauties look as pretty as they did on that tree! ;D
ReplyDeleteHi Shelia, all of those gorgeous decorations are still hanging on my Tree and everywhere you look is Christmas. I'm not tired of it yet.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for commenting on my grandkids,
Time for me to stop blogging because I can't stay awake. LOL. these long trips to FL have caught up with me I guess.
Warm hugs and happy New Years resolutions.
Jeanne
Hi sweet friend... My mama called them balls too... so that makes them balls to me too!!!
ReplyDelete{{{HUGS}}}
Donna
I'd love to "hep" you girlfriend....but I would have to polevault myself over the boxes stacked up ....packed up....half packed....to be packed ---What an collection! Good thing we only do this once a year!
ReplyDeleteIt is an amazing amount of work and every year we do it all over again. I always seem to underestimate how long it takes to put it all away.
ReplyDeleteThis would be a great addition to Seasonal Sundays. We're all in the same boat and misery sure does love company.
- The Tablescaper
This is the part tha I dread after the holiday, putting stuff away. I haven't even started yet but I promise I will start tomorrow....Christine
ReplyDeleteHi Shelia
ReplyDeleteYou have been a very busy lady putting away so many beautiful decorations. It is always so much more fun putting them up than taking them down I think. Although I am always ready to take them down when its time.
You certainly deserve a cherry Doctor Pepper.
Beautiful decorations...I love to pick up something new at the end of Christmas to surprise me the next year...
*hugs*
Judi
We are all alike-ha! I just packed all my deco up and bought some see through bins to store them. Not fun to un-decorate-ha!
ReplyDeleteHi Shelia! Sorry I can't hep ya because I need hep myself...under a pile of garlands and stuff! lol Hope you are having a great week!...hugs...Debbie
ReplyDeleteYeah taking down Christmas stuff is so much work! I think its easier to take it down than it is to put up for sure! Have a good week!
ReplyDeleteI just started a new blog come check it out if you get a chance.

I need help too! I think I need to cut back ...way too many bins, and bins and bins, and the can't fit in a bin!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with it all! I am weary carrying it back down to the basement!
♥ won't be that hard...only a few bins of that!
Sorry I can't be of help to you... but you have the next best thing to see you threw... Cherry Diet Dr. Pepper my favorite too. Trish
ReplyDeleteI finally decided to get mine back into storage, then stopped to go thru some and rethink if want to keep them. Every year, I say I am going to do things differently and every year it is the same "old song". Taking a break and trying to catch up on some blogs. I have a table like the one in your first picture. Even tho handed down in the family, it has no sentimental memories attached.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend.
Hep me, hep me, I know you are really an Alabama girl.
