I'll leave you with a little Note Song~

Taking Care of Busnines
(I can't help myself and I believe this will be our official Bathroom Snapping song! ;) Did I tell you I just love this stuff! :)

You get up every morning
From your alarm clock's warning
Take the 8:15 into the city
There's a whistle up above
And people pushin', people shovin'
And the girls who try to look pretty
And if your train's on time
You can get to work by nine
And start your slaving job to get your pay
If you ever get annoyed
Look at me I'm self-employed
I love to work at nothing all day
And I'll be...
Taking care of business every day
Taking care of business every way
I've been taking care of business, it's all mine
Taking care of business and working overtime
Work out
If it were easy as fishin'
You could be a musician
If you could make sounds loud or mellow
Get a second-hand guitar
Chances are you'll go far
If you get in with the right bunch of fellows
People see you having fun
Just a-lying in the sun
Tell them that you like it this way
It's the work that we avoid
And we're all self-employed
We love to work at nothing all day
And we be...
Taking care of business every day
Taking care of business every way
I've been taking care of business, it's all mine
Taking care of business and working overtime
Take good care of my business
When I'm away, every day whoo!
Takin' care of business
Takin' care of business
Takin' care of business
Takin' care of business
Takin' care of business

Behind Closed Doors

No one knows what goes on behind closed doors...

Hello, Dear Ones! I just can't help singing~ I'm so excited! Mr. Precious retired in January and we've been so busy!! We've been painting and trying to get our home organized - we purged, garage saled and now I'm trying to make neatness in my home.

This is the end of the hall upstairs - all painted and fresh. The door directly in front of you holds fabric and sewing supplies and...

this is the door, well, what's behind this door is what I've gotten so excited about! You see Mr. Precious knows I love my dishes and I have them scattered all over the house - in the kitchen, breakfast room, dining room, den, sun porch and bathroom. Yes siree - the bathroom. So he suggested I take this linen closet and turn it into a dish closet! Yay! I didn't know that retiring would make Mr. Precious so very smart! :)

Look! I've got dishes in here!! I have an official Dish Closet! Woo Hooness!!

Fallish dishes and some big autumn pieces are on the top shelf. I didn't have to put the shelves in - they were already here. Oh, the joyness!

Then bunches and bunches of transferware...oh, did I say joyness? :) I think I did but I'll say it again - oh, joyness!

Then more and more and more dishes! This is so thrilling, isn't it? Please make me happy and say it pleases you too! :)

Then a few more dishes! This is so great!

On the bottom shelf I've placed a bunch of my large candlesticks. On the floor I placed a little Target wood shelf and placed some of my chargers on it with more candlesticks on the floor! I'm loving this!

Oh, and look what I did all by my tiny self! I put labels on the shelves so I would know which sets of dishes were on each shelf! Oh, I'm just so talented, can't you tell? You know I'm kidding!

Stacked! Yes siree, and sweeties I'm not talking about my most tiny gorgeous body (again, I do hope you know I'm kidding), but my dishes! Stacked and all so very neat.

Candlesticks and chargers! Don't you just love this stuff! :) Oh, I do.

I'm thrilled, excited, jazzed, wired and each day I come up here a couple of times and open the door to look at my dishes all neat and orderly! Does this dish closet hold all my tiny dishes? Oh, no, no, Nannette, it does not! I still have more dishes in the kitchen, breakfast room, dining room, den, sun porch and bathroom. Yes siree - still got some in the bathroom. But now I have some needed freed up space! What am I going to do with all my freed up room? Buy more dishes? Well, I just might. But now I'm just trying to get organized.

Now I realize this was not a very cute post so I'm leaving you with a little snap of my cute little Chloe Dawn. Mr. Precious is holding her tiny arms down and she looks captive but she's not and she just loves this stuff! :)

Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)

I'm joining Our Dear Susan at Between Naps on the Porch for Met Monday,
I'll leave you with a little Note Song~

Behind Closed Doors

My baby makes me proud
Lord, don't she make me proud
She never makes a scene
By hanging all over me in a crowd
'Cause people like to talk
Lord, don't they love to talk
But when they turn out the lights
I know she'll be leaving with me

And when we get behind closed doors
Then she lets her hair hang down
And she makes me glad that I'm a man
Oh, no-one knows what goes on behind closed doors

My baby makes me smile
Lord, don't she make me smile
She's never far away
Or too tired to say: "I want you"
She's always a lady, just like a lady should be
But when they turn out the lights
She's still a baby to me

'Cause when we get behind closed doors
Then she lets her hair hang down
And she makes me glad that I'm a man
Oh, no-one knows what goes on behind closed doors
Behind closed doors

Rush For Sister in the Bloggerette Sorority

Hello, Dear Ones...I'm milking this post and am using my Pink Sister in the Bloggerette Sorority Post for my Pink Saturday contribution. Pink Saturday is hosted by our Most Dear Pink Beverly at How Sweet the Sound.

Let the RUSH begin!!

Hello, Dear Ones! I'm so excited today because Karen at Some Days Are Diamonds has asked us if we wanted to rush to be in the new Bloggerette Sorority in Blogland! Oh, yes! I wanna do this! I wanna be in the special sorority! So this was our day to RUSH!

We were to take this beautiful olden photo of sweet ladies and DO something with it and then we had to BE in the picture ourselves! Oh, the fun! The joyness! And we are supposed to tell you where we're from - I'm in Texas!

Well, whoop dee doo! Here's the picture of the lovely olden ladies and I'm in there too!

Then...
While making my 'Sisters' tag for the framed photo, I thought about scrapbooking. I haven't been able to scrap in over two years! So I was inspired and made a scrapbook page. Oh, I enjoyed this so much. As you can tell, it doesn't take much to excite me! :)

Here's a little look at some of the embellishments I used. Love this stuff!

Lovely olden sisters...

Oh, I think I recognize someone...

Look at that most gorgeous one in the middle with the big hair!! Does she look familiar to you?

It's me! I put my most gorgeous tiny self in the picture! In reality, I'm not even 5 feet tall, so I decided I would be the tallest young lady. In reality I have very short tiny hair so - I found another picture of a Victorian lady and took off her hair and put it on my tiny head then I frooed and frooed with it and curled it up, puffed it up and longed it up! Oh, look at my head of hair. I would love to have a head of hair like that. Well, I would wear it differently and I would be tall! Oh, well...

Then...
I was so inspired I couldn't stop. I've learned how to make the pretty shabby roses, thank you Kathy, so I just had to make a pillow. I used some of the computer transfer paper for fabric and went to town.

My picture didn't transfer as well as it should have, but it will do.

I shabby rosed all over the place! I just love these roses!

Well, lookie here! There is that most gorgeous gal again! :) You know I'm teasing! This is before my most gorgeous full locks had grown out so long. :)

So here are my items for the Bloggerrette Sorority Rush!!

I hope I'm in! I hope I'm in!!

Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song~

Sister

Sister, you've been on my mind
Sister, we're two of a kind
So Sister, I'm keeping my eyes on you
I betcha think I don't know nothin'
But singin' the blues
Oh Sister, have I got news for you
I'm somethin'
I hope you think that you're somethin' too
Scufflin' I been up that lonesome road
And I seen a lot of suns goin' down
Oh, but trust me
No low life's gonna run me around
So let me tell you somethin' Sister
Remember your name
No twister, gonna steal your stuff away
My sister, sho' ain't got a whole lot of time
So shake your shimmy, Sister
'Cause honey this shug is feelin' fine

Roosters and Roses

Hello, Dear Ones! Oh, I just love to play, don't you? I've set up a little vignette on my tiny little table in my breakfast room. Roosters and Roses!

I've laid down some of my white pieces and added some redness of flowers. Summer time coolness.

Now a few weeks ago I showed you my tiny little china cabinet in here and it was Rooster free! Just so you'll know some of my Roosters didn't go far! After all, I love the yard birds! :)

Smallness of white Rooster!

Biggerness of white Rooster!

I have this very small tureen that I took the lid off of and added some pretty redness of flower.

Then my big pretty white pitcher filled will redness of roses ~ fauxnes of roses!

Just gotta love my redness of faux roses. Can you love little redness of faux roses? Well, you bet your ouchy thorn pricks you can! :) Oh, I've said it before and I'm gonna say it again ~ I love my fauxs and my fauxs love me!

A special mosaic filled with fauxness! :) I just love this stuff! Summer coolness of fauxs!

I've put a small olden tablecloth on my table. It's just covered with the sweetness of little flowers! :)

There you have it! My tiny table dressed with whiteness of Roosters and Redness of flowers! :)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song~

Lady in Red

I've never seen you looking so lovely as you did tonight
I've never seen you shine so bright
I've never seen so many men ask you if you wanted to dance
They're looking for a little romance
Given half a chance
And I've never seen that dress you're wearing
Or that highlights in your hair
That catch your eyes
I have been blind

Lady in red is dancing with me
Cheek to cheek
There's nobody here
It's just you and me
It's where I wanna be
But I hardly know this beauty by my side
I'll never forget the way you look tonight

I've never seen you looking so gorgeous as you did tonight
I've never seen you shine so bright you were amazing
I've never seen so many people want to be there by your side
And when you turned to me and smiled it took my breath away
And I have never had such a feeling such a feeling
Of complete and utter love, as I do tonight

Lady in red is dancing with me
Cheek to cheek
There's nobody here
It's just you and me
It's where I wanna be
But I hardly know this beauty by my side
I'll never forget the way you look tonight

I never will forget the way you look tonight
The lady in red
lady in red
Lady in red
My lady in red
I love you
