All By Myself

Hello, Dear Ones!! I've missed you but now it's time to get back to blogging.

I'm going to share just a bit of the marvelous time we have just enjoyed. Dear Daughter and little Carter came for Thanksgiving while our son-in-law drove across the country with the dogs. We won't see them Christmas so we made the best of our time together.

The girls - four generations.
Notice the Most neglected dog standing behind me.
Poor poor Chloe Dawn.

We familied

We grandmothered and great grandmothered

We suited up in Texas flag gear and went for a run

We Thanksgivinged

We fell asleep at the table

We laughed

We smiled for the camera

We played Note Songs

We Santa Claused - even though one tiny little one slept

We mistreated Chloe Dawn

Now it's just Mr. Precious, the mistreated Chloe Dawn and me ~
all by ourselves.

Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song~

All By Myself

When I was young
I never needed anyone
And making love was just for fun
Those days are gone
Livin' alone
I think of all the friends I've known
When I dial the telephone
Nobody's home

All by myself
Don't wanna be
All by myself
Anymore

Hard to be sure
Sometimes I feel so insecure
And loves so distant and obscure
Remains the cure

All by myself
Don't wanna be
All by myself
Anymore
~ sung by Eric Carman

  1. What wonderful pictures to remember a fun time. She is adorable - I love them at that age. They continue to be fun, but in a different way. Don't get to lonely; they'll be back. Sally

  5. You have some beautiful photos to frame now and your home is so lovely.Carter is so sweet and I know just how you feel for her since we have our 1st grand-daughters close in age. They are so special. Your little dog is probably happy to have you all to herself again. Our dog would be just the same.
Have fun getting ready for Christmas. Hugs, Deb=^..^=x5

  6. I so enjoyed seeing your beautiful family in these photos. Looks like you all had a terrific time together!

Our daughter and family were with us for Thanksgiving but won't be here for Christmas as well. Your Chloe Dawn felt mistreated and our Raider barely endured our daughters new puppy, Rudy. Rudy is really the sweetest little guy, but Raider just was not happy about him being here!

As always... so fun stopping by to visit with you!

  7. What sweet memories you have and pic's of 4 generations. Looks like you all had good time and did everything one would do on Christmas day. I adore the photos of Carter in her perfect highchair you created for her. Again, what memories you are creating and she will have photos to look back on to see all you did for her and I might add in high-creative-style.

  11. I have missed you during your break BUT this was WORTH WAITING FOR! What great photos tonight Shelia. The four generations picture is so special. I love the one of you and Carter at piano (or nano as my great niece calls it!) The one with Grandpa of her laughing is cute as can be and oh, the one of her sleeping at the table. I often feel like taking a nap after a big meal! Thanks so much for sharing your precious family. Tell Chloe Dawn she is cute as can be and that we send a big hug. She will have all your attention at Christmas.

  16. Oh my goodness, I just want to squeeze those precious little legs and cheeks! Carter's that is. She has sure grown since the last time I "saw" her. And it's easy to see that she isn't spoiled in the least. How nice to make the most of your time together. However, I'm feeling so sorry for neglected little Chloe Dawn!!!!

  17. Oh Shelia -- she's so precious. What a beautiful little girl she is! Loved the pictures of poor neglected Chloe Dawn in the bouncie seat. I used to just cry and cry when we had to leave Stella after a visit. I know it's hard to be far away and have to pack so much in in a short little time -- but beautiful times they are. Good to see pictures of your mama again as well.
