This breed of kitty is very different than most cats and their nature is described to be more like a dog or a little monkey in a kitty suit! :) They're also referred to as little kitty aliens or pixies. They are a fairly new breed and came into being in England in the 1960s. They're known for their humongous ears and big ole eyes. Their fur is very short, a tiny bit curly and it's so soft.
You how I love me some fun and this sight was just too cute to pass up and being that I love you all so much ~ I just had to share it with you too!! :)

Happy Trails to you!
Shelia ;)
I'll leave you with a little Note Song~
until we meet again.
Happy trails to you, keep smilin' until then.
Who cares about the clouds when we're together?
Just sing a song and bring the sunny weather.
Happy trails to you, 'till we meet again.
Some trails are happy ones,
Others are blue.
It's the way you ride the trail that counts,
Here's a happy one for you.
Happy trails to you, until we meet again.
Happy trails to you, keep smilin' until then.
Who cares about the clouds when we're together?
Just sing a song and bring the sunny weather.
Happy trails to you, 'till we meet again.

Hi Shelia, Such pretty kitties and I love that they won your heart! Two of my three cats walk on leash/harness and they sure enjoy their time outdoors (and being safe from coyotes etc.) I had not heard of this breed; interesting to read about them and I sure enjoyed your post/photos. Wishing you a wonderful weekend dear friend.
ReplyDeleteI'm not so sure about Rusty, but Ronnie sure seems to like posing for the camera!!.. Up close!! So CUTE, the both of them!!.. Bless their wittle hearts!!! (0; So nice to meet them today, Shelia! Have a great weekend! ~tina
ReplyDeleteI have not seen that breed before. My cat is named Rusty, too!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun post! Those kitty cats are so cute riding in their cat "chariot!"
ReplyDeleteKatherine
Funny! That cat's eyes are scary! But I am not fond of cats.
ReplyDeleteShelia, this is a cute post. I'm smiling at the thought of those kitties in their cat wagon. ~ Sarah
ReplyDeleteHi Shelia! You know I love this post! I wasn't familiar with that breed. Mine are all "street" cats and I am not sure if they would consent to going for a ride. They have the most unusual faces. Ronnie sort of looks like an older Ronnie Reagan! lol Love it!...hugs..Debbie
ReplyDeleteLOL! Love this post Shelia. They are both beautiful boys.
ReplyDeleteMr Chestnut would love to ride in a wagon. Ha! I should get him a small one just to try it out. :)
That was pretty funny! I have never seen kitties on a leash. Mine would sooooo object! They would be okay with the wagon ride for a bit but the leash no way! I've never seen this breed before, very unusual! No offense but they sort of remind me of ET! LOL!
ReplyDeleteThey look like they are full of mischief, similar to the Abyssinian cat. I just read a bit on this breed and now I have learned something new today. Thanks for posting this Shelia. There are so many breeds of dogs and cats that are so unique and captivating. Good for your sister-in-law for adopting this breed of cat. Hugs, Deb=^..^=x5
ReplyDeleteThis IS a fun post, Sheila. I love, love, love kitties so this really was right up my alley. I am not familiar with this breed but the pictures surely did make me smile.
ReplyDeleteDonna
Hi Sheila, I have never seen that kind of cat before! What a scream! They are adorable and I love the wagon rides!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing and have a wonderful weekend!
Hugs, Ann
Hi Sheila Sweetie...
ReplyDeleteNow this is just to darn cute. I love the photos of Ronnie and Rusty. They sure do love their wagon rides. I have never seen a cat sit in a wagon like that, even with a harness on. You can tell they have taken many rides. I just love it.
I am like you though, I am more a dog person, I would be a little panicky to have someone pop up behind me and start rubbing my head.
Precious share sweetie. Happy Trails to them as they take their little wagon rides each day.
Many hugs and so much love, Sherry
I'm more of a cat person than a dog person, but I've never heard of these. They sound like lots of fun.
ReplyDeleteRoy Rogers lived here in the high desert until his death, and he and his wife Dale were our most famous residents :-)

Hi Sheila,
ReplyDeleteI've never seen kitties like that before! Mine would never go on a leash though.
Thanks for your sweet comments on FB too!
Aren't grand-daughters just the best!
Hugs,
Cindy
Just goes to prove that everyone loves a ride in a wagon:@)
ReplyDeleteG'morn Shelia ~ Cat lover that I am I had not sen this breed before. Interesting.

Adorable cats! And, oh what fun photos of them going for a wagon ride. I've never seen that breed of cat and those two are just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI had no ideal that you lived so close to the beach... you lucky dog! I am jealous ! I hate all that beach theme stuff, you do it just right IMHO. As for your post, they are cute, but I am 100% a "Dog" person. Thanks for visiting, I always enjoy seeing you there, my friend.
ReplyDeleteHow cute is that Sheila?!!~ I ave never seen kitties enjoy a wagon ride before...they sure had fun! Thanks for the smiles this Saturday morning.
ReplyDeleteOh Sheila those little kitties are so darned cute! I love the picture of the one looking right at you!! How amazing! Never heard of these little critters before....but oh aren't they adorable! How are you honey? If I don't get a chance to tell you....I'll say it now...Happy Thanksgiving to you and Mr. Precious and your whole family and especially that wonderful little Carter!!
ReplyDeleteSo cute. Love the wagon.
ReplyDeleteYou asked about the water marks, when you go to print there is an option to print without the watermark. Just click on that. So easy. Hugs, Marty
Shelia, go to this site - http://www.freespiritart.com/art-prints-of-cows.php and you don't have to do anything but print. There are tons of categories to choose from. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteThat is too precious! My Clyde is a Maine Coon cat (we figured this out; we found him in a dumpster 11 years ago) and he is more like a dog too. And Charlie Ross, the male Yorkie? When someone sits in a chair, he climbs on top of the back and paws at their head to tell them to pet him.
ReplyDeleteBrenda
Cute kitties. Love their little pixie faces. Glad you made some new feline friends.
ReplyDeleteHi Sheila,
ReplyDeleteI'm not a cat person at all but these interesting creatures have grabbed my interest. I'd like to meet some sometime and hope they don't make my eyes water and sting like most cats do. They are kinda cute!

Hi Sheila, thank you for your nice compliments on the Christmas decorating. I bet you are enjoying your new countertops! I hope to have those someday! They are really beautiful! Also, thanks for your prayers for Lily. My heart just breaks for her family. They are very strong christians and know that if it is not God's will to heal her she will go straight to heaven. It would still be so hard to loose a precious child though...but knowing she will be with Jesus will make it bearable. She is just so precious...
ReplyDeleteThese cats are so funny!! They look like a cross between a good gremlin and a bad gremlin...if you remember that show!lol...I bet they have the cutest personalities too. I've never heard of that breed. I have a mut cat and she is over 15 years old! I can't believe it! She is still in great shape...I had to break up a fight earlier. Another cat was coming into the garage to eat her food. She won't tolerate that!!lol... Well, I better get busy making more stuff for my show. Thanks again for stopping by! Kristen
Well I'm so glad you did share this! I'm not much of a cat person so I wasn't familiar with this breed at all. What cute faces they have! They sound like a lot of fun and I can't believe that like riding around in the wagon!! How cute is that!
ReplyDeleteManuela
Those are the most unusual looking cats...and curly short hair?! Amazing! It's so funny how they will stay in the wagon too! I think they have the cutest faces too. ;D
ReplyDeleteAltho I am not a cat person, these are so cute. Little pixies with big eyes and ears.
ReplyDeletexo bj
What cute faces.
ReplyDeleteThose are really cute kitties--this is coming from a dog lover! The big eyes and big ears and short, fluffy fur all come together in a dog-like way if you ask me. And the wagon ride is too sweet! It's making my blog assistant, Oliver (the dalmatian) green spotted with envy.
ReplyDeleteBest,
Bonnie
Hi Shelia,
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful kitties, they look so sweet and I know they also are rare and cost a fortune!!
Lovely photos of them in their red wagon.
hugs
Sissie
To cute and I love that one of them is named after Ronald Reagan:)
ReplyDeleteShelia,
ReplyDeleteThat is absolutely delightful! I know someone who takes hers out at night in a screened in baby stroller.
I love the expressions on their faces. Riding in a wagon, just like they believe they were born to do! LOL.
Oh, I just love Rusty and Ronnie! They are the most adorable ones. And so unique! Thanks for sharing your furry little nephews with us, Sheila! LOL!
ReplyDeleteXO,
Sheila :-)
