Almost...

Hello, Dear Ones! Yes, it's almost time for my
Heart of the Home Party
on Wednesday, October 13! I am so excited and I see that many of you have my little Heart of the Home button on your blogs! Thank you so much.

We recently had a little spiffing done to our kitchen: new countertops and backsplash and that started me thinking about having a kitchen party. If you'd like to see it you can go here.

Have you been getting your kitchens ready?
I just can't hardly wait to see all of your kitchens.

We all spend so much time in our kitchens
and we become rather attached to them.
I know I do.

Are you snapping pictures of your kitchen to share with us?

You can snap any kind of picture you want of your kitchen ~
you can snap pictures and show us a tour of your kitchen,
you can snap pictures of a special feature in your kitchen,
you can snap a tablescape that you dearly love,
you can share a favorite recipe with us,
let your little Heart of the Home run wild.

I'll have Mr. Linky up on Tuesday night around 7pm Central Standard Time, because I know many of you love to come early to parties and here's what you need to do:

1. Publish your Heart of the Home post.

2. Once it is published, click on your post name, then just copy and paste the address that shows up in the address bar at the top, into the "url" box for the image linky. You'll also need to put your e-mail address in, but it's safe, no one will see it but you.

3. Type your name in the appropriate Mr. Linky box in the post.

4. Click on "Enter." You can also select the photo you want to be your "Look at My Kitchen!" square here.

5. Then just please link back to the Note Songs post so that others can come and see your wonderful kitchen.

So, until Wednesday, I'm getting ready for you too!

First I'm cleaning up my tiny messes
and
then I'll be getting some refreshments ready for you.

I'll see you and your kitchens Wednesday, October 13!!

Until then...
Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)

I'm joining Our Dear Mary at Little Red House for Mosaic Monday
and
Our Dear Susan at Between naps on the Porch for Met Monday
(I'm stretching my Met Monday to include all of the kitchens that
are being spiffed for Wednesday)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song~

this will be our official Heart of the Home Party Note Song~

Shake, Rattle and Roll

Get out from that kitchen and rattle those pots and pans
Get out from that kitchen and rattle those pots and pans
Well, roll my breakfast 'cause I'm a hungry man

I said Shake, rattle and roll
I said Shake, rattle and roll
I said Shake, rattle and roll
I said Shake, rattle and roll
Well, you never do nothin' to save your doggone soul
Wearin' those dresses, your hair done up so nice
Wearin' those dresses, your hair done up so nice
You look so warm, but your heart is cold as ice

I'm like a one-eyed cat, peepin' in a sea-food store
I'm like a one-eyed cat, peepin' in a sea-food store
I can look at you, tell you don't love me no more
I believe you're doin' me wrong and now I know
I believe you're doin' me wrong and now I know
The more I work, the faster my money goes

SHAKE, RATTLE AND ROLL

  10. I love seeing those 50's kitchen, Shelia, at least that's what they look like to me. I hope I can get ready for the kitchen party. I keep buying a lot of stuff and they keep ending up on the kitchen island and I am having a tough time emptying it, lol...Christine

  11. Shelia, your kitchen is just BEAUTIFUL! How I'd love to join your party, but my kitchen is so tiny and so dark - not even one single window, isn't that sad? I love everything about your kitchen - especially the big DEEP drawers for pots & pans! Oh how I would love to have one of those! Have a wonderful week!!!... Donna

  12. Shelia,
Ah-h-h, what a sweet hostess you are. . .invitations all sent and now you're making refreshments, too! We will be such honored guests! I've been snapping shots of the kitchen and writing a new post. . .but remember. . .all of this is new to me. I'll try my best to be there "on time", but if for some reason (or something unforseen happens)I don't make it go ahead and start without me! Thank you for hosting this Heart of the Home Party and for the invitation!
    Fondly,
    Pat

  20. Boo Hoo, my kitchen won't be finished in time due to a gap in time between workmen. But, I'll be showing what it will have for the unfinished parts.
At least I have my new countertop on and sinks to use in the mean time.
See you at the party Sheila.

  25. The dust hasn't settled on my kitchen renovation yet but even though we still have finishing touches to complete, I think I've got some halfway decent pictures to share so count me IN for this fun party!

Do you mind if I borrow one of your photos of your lovely Moen faucet? I promise to give appropriate photo source credit. :)

    Best regards,
