Heart of Glass
Once I had a love and it was a gas
Soon turned out had a heart of glass
Seemed like the real thing, only to find
Much of mistrust, love's gone behind
Once I had a love and it was divine
Soon found out I was losing my mind
It seemed like the real thing but I was so blind
Much of mistrust, love's gone behind
In between
What I find is pleasing and I'm feeling fine
Love is so confusing there's no peace of mind
If I fear I'm losing you it's just no good
You teasing like you do
Once I had a love and it was a gas
Soon turned out had a heart of glass
Seemed like the real thing, only to find
Much of mistrust, love's gone behind
Once I had a love and it was divine
Soon found out I was losing my mind
It seemed like the real thing but I was so blind
Much of mistrust, love's gone behind
Lost inside
Adorable illusion and I cannot hide
I'm the one you're using, please don't push me aside
We could've made it cruising, yeah
Yeah, riding high on love's true bluish light
Once I had a love and it was a gas
Soon turned out I had a heart of glass
Seemed like the real thing only to find
Much of mistrust, love's gone behind

Shelia, all of your Fall cloches are beautiful. I love the way you've grouped the pitchers under cloches on your buffet. You have given me some wonderful inspiration. I have some dried hydrangeas that were used on the alter at my mother's funeral. They are in a pot on top of my television cabinet. I'm going to stick them under a cloche permanently. Yours look so pretty, and if mine are under a cloche, they won't be shedding everywhere! Thanks for inspiring me. laurie
ReplyDeleteRats! Second wired cloche I have seen today, and I so wish I had one. Sheila I have enjoyed my pop over and seeing all your lovely Fall displays. It sure is fun to see what all the gals do to their cloches...I am getting so many new ideas:) Have a wonderful weekend. Debbie

ReplyDeleteSheila-You have so many pretty cloches! I especially love the three cloches with the pitchers...and the wire cloche...and the cupcake cloches! Can you believe I don't have a cupcake cloche?? I think they are adorable! Loved your dining room post earlier too. It reminded me of the time I did my homework on a mahogany table with leather insets. I thought my grandmother would faint! But since she was a grandmother, she didn't fuss :)
ReplyDeleteSheila, I love all your Fall decor especially the cloches! The glass pumpkins are fantastic.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Sherry
