My Heart Is Overflowing

Hello, Dear Ones. That's right...my heart is overflowing with thankfulness. Who would have thought almost two years ago I would have met such wonderful ones as you in The Land of Blog! My heart is overflowing...

I received a package recently and opened it up and look what was inside!

Presents all wrapped up in pretty pink bows!

The sweetest card - this was a package for my new little grand daughter, Carter Ashlan from...

two lovely bloggers - Jeanne at Backyard Neighbor and Sheila at Quintessential Magpie! These darlings went shopping together in Florida for Carter! Again, my heart is overflowing...

Look at this beautiful card Jeanne made. I believe I'll have to frame this!

I must show you what was inside of those pretty little packages.

A precious little bonnet with a pink ribbon and little tiny flower.

A darling little pillow in a case with lovely hand embroidery.

A little olden potpourri sachet with the most dainty baby buttons and trimmed in sweet tiny lace. I wish you could smell it - it's heavenly!

The softest and pinkest little blanket that says 'Bless This Child".

Oh, and the most beautiful little silver fork and spoon. I may have to keep this for myself, think I should? :)

Then...
those darlings thought of me! Yes, they did! Look at the ever so lovely hankerchief with lace and my initial on it! It's beautiful! My heart is overflowing...

How lovely.

Dear Jeanne and Sheila, I thank you from the bottom of my heart! I am overwhelmed with your kindness and will always cherish your sweet gifts to my grand daughter and me and will cherish you both in my heart always! God bless you!

Dear Ones, Blogland is wonderful. You are wonderful and I love you all! My heart is simply overflowing.

You are my sweeties,
Shelia :)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song~

Indescribable

From the highest of heights to the depths of the sea
Creation's revealing Your majesty
From the colors of fall to the fragrance of spring
Every creature unique in the song that it sings
All exclaiming

Indescribable, uncontainable,
You placed the stars in the sky and You know them by name.
You are amazing God
All powerful, untameable,
Awestruck we fall to our knees as we humbly proclaim
You are amazing God

Who has told every lightning bolt where it should go
Or seen heavenly storehouses laden with snow
Who imagined the sun and gives source to its light
Yet conceals it to bring us the coolness of night
None can fathom

Indescribable, uncontainable,
You placed the stars in the sky and You know them by name
You are amazing God
All powerful, untameable,
Awestruck we fall to our knees as we humbly proclaim
You are amazing God

Indescribable, uncontainable,
You placed the stars in the sky and You know them by name.
You are amazing God
All powerful, untameable,
Awestruck we fall to our knees as we humbly proclaim
You are amazing God
Indescribable, uncontainable,
You placed the stars in the sky and You know them by name.
You are amazing God
Incomparable, unchangeable
You see the depths of my heart and You love me the same
You are amazing God
You are amazing God

  1. Sheila, each gift is a delight in its own right, but I know just what you mean about feeling the love of the friendship of these women. Unexpected gifts make the gift giving occasion even more special. That precious little girl is going to look darling in that white bonnet. Perhaps we'll see a photo?
    Hugs to you ~ Sarah

  5. Hi Sheila, I was just going to bed when I saw a new comment come up. Hooray, the package arrived safely. Yes, blogland is full of very lovely women and you are one of them.

I am so glad you loved everything. Your photos are so sweet. I too love the vintage spoon and fork. However, the box inside is marked with time. You should probably take them out of the box. Or throw the pink thingie away. The man we bought them from said they were from the 50's and never used. Vintage is good and we guessed you would like them.

I am going to bed happy now that I know you are pleased with everything.

    Love, Jeanne

  9. Oh, I have a lump in my throat. The kindness in Blogland is so far reaching. To think that 2 lovely ladies thought about you and your new granddaughter and took the time to this. My heart would be overflowing, too.

  10. How wonderful to get such thoughtful gifts from folks you don't even know! You are truly deserving of it all because you give such love to others my friend. I just experienced something similar. Another Maine blogger and her daughter just spent the day with my mother in law and I! We had each made something special for each other! It was awesome. I got another package in the mail just yesterday from her for my mother in law! God shows his love for us through people...don't you think?

  11. Of course, you should keep the silverware. After all, Carter will be eating at your house on occasion. My 13-year old granddaughter will still occasionally grab a child's spoon to eat a snack saying that she just loves the memories of being here with us at meals. Auwwwww! My heart is still tugged by her. Sally

  13. If someone had told me, a few years ago, that I'd be finding wonderful friends by blogging, I'd have thought them a little addlepated! But, I have them--coast-to-coast, in Alaska, Australia, Great Britian and Croatia so far. What a joy! That is such a dear package for the new grandmother and baby Carter. Enjoy my B.F. (blogging friend).

    Best,
    Bonnie

  15. Shelia, you have no idea how it warms my heart to know that you loved the gifts. It's only a token of how much we love you and how happy we are that you are a new grandmother to beautiful little Carter! She is going to be one blessed little girl to have you for her grandmother! :-)

I adored my own grandmother more than anyone on earth (she was truly the sweetest person I've ever known), and I know that Carter is going to have that same relationship with you.

The only thing that would have made our shopping/lunching adventure for you even better is if you had been with us yourself. You are so right. There are some wonderful people in the Land of Blog, and you are right at the top of the list. So is Jeanne.

Love you much, dear sweet one!

    XO,

She-lady II... who is going to spend the day with the Lord!
