My Texas Table

Hello, Dear Ones! Oh, I'm just so flattered that so many of you have asked to see more of my Texas Table on the sunporch. Because I love you all so much I'm going to show it to you.

One day long long ago while antiquing, well just plain ole junk shoppin', I ran across this little olden table.

There was nothing special about this little ole table. Actually she looked like someone had hand made the legs. Long and straight little ole legs. Not shapely pretty legs but just plain ole skinny minny legs! The entire olden table had a nasty ole stain on it. It wasn't a pretty sight but this little olden table was calling my name and I was beginning to fall in love with her.

I brought her home and Mr. Precious was not impressed. He said to get rid of this eye sore! Oh, no! I asked him if he would just trust me for I had plans for my little olden table. He reluctantly said he'd trust me. Whew!

So I sanded and got out my creaminess of paint, stencils and polyurethane and went to town.

You're looking at the results...my Texas Table. As I said before, when I see the stars I think of Texas ~ so she became my Texas Table. She's very proud now and holds lots of my precious treasures.

My Texas Table also got tasseled! She's so proud of her springness of tassel hanging from her little tiny green glass knob surrounded by Texas Stars.

I know, I know, Christmas is over but this is a frontal view of my Texas Table. Hope you're not disappointed thinking my Texas Table was more than she is! After all these years, even with her skinny minny legs and a wee bit of yellowed surface ~ I still love her.

Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia :)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~

You Send Me

Darling you send me
I know you send me
Darling you send me
Honest you do, honest you do
Honest you do, whoa-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh

You thrill me
I know you, you, you thrill me
Darling you, you, you, you thrill me
Honest you do

At first I thought it was infatuation
But woo, it's lasted so long
Now I find myself wanting
To marry you and take you home
Whoa-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh

You, you, you, you send me
I know you send me
I know you send me
Honest you do

Whoa-oh-oh, whenever I'm with you
I know, I know, I know when I'm near you
Mmm hmm, mmm hmm, honest you do, honest you do
Whoa-oh-oh, I know-oh-oh-oh

I know, I know, I know, when you hold me
Whoa-oh-oh-oh-oh, whenever you kiss me
Mmm hmm, mmm hmm, honest you do

At first I thought it was infatuation
But woo, it's lasted so long
Now I find myself wanting
To marry you and take you home

I know, I know, I know, you send me
I know you send me
Whoa-oh-oh-oh, you you you you send me
Honest you do
~ sung by Sam Cooke
