I didn't want you to forget about me so I'm showing you some stuff I did back in the fall!
A few years back I found a few pieces of silver at a garage sale and purchased them. Well, they're silver plate, but that's okay! I had put them away and had forgotten all about them. While prowling around looking for other things ~ I found these!
Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)
I'll leave you with a little Note Song~

Oh I love them both!! I was looking for a champagne/wine bucket for my Spode and Sterling table but never found the right one...because you have it, lol!! Beautiful! I just love old pieces of silver and I d enjoy bringing them back to life with a good polishing.
ReplyDeleteGood morning Pickle, Girl you do have the best stuff...loved these silver pieces...hate to clean them but love them..Now that I know you have the muscle I'll ship my to you for cleaning ha ha!! Have a great day girl now get back in your closet coffee break over...Hugs and smiles Gl♥ria
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful set. I love those handles. I bet if you are like me you have found more things that you forgot about hiding in the closets. I so need to do mine.
ReplyDeleteYou still in the closet girl? You gotta get out of there. The sun is startin to shine and spring is peeking around the corner. Slap that paint up, throw the stuff in there and enjoy.
ReplyDeleteShelia,
ReplyDeleteLuv the silver and how pretty it shines up!
When I polish some of my pieces, I think it's neat how they begin to shine. Kind of like opening a present.
I hope to get some painting done this year...we shall see. You go girl!!!
I enjoy visiting your blog and haven't forgotten ya. Enjoy our blogging friendship.
Blessings to you!

Oh how pretty -- wish I could just "buff up" as well! Such prettyness. Isn't it fun to "rediscover" a treasure all over again and get to enjoy the excitement twice?
ReplyDeleteHI Shelia; Gosh,, you find the most gorgeous things... I adore you silver ice bucket and the other,,,pan? the handles are so pretty with great detail... now hurry and get out of the closet,,, I do miss you,and would never forget you.... you are way to funny and sweet..... take care.

Those are so beautiful...I would love to have them...get them shined up and showing off! Why does silver have to be such a pain to keep it looking nice?! But when it does, it is a thing of beauty! :D
ReplyDeleteI'm loving your gorgeous silver....don't you love finding buried treasure??
ReplyDeleteThose have such beautiful details! I'm sure you can find something to use them for even if it's not the intended purpose.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Dawn
Hi Sheila....
ReplyDeleteYUMMY.....what a lucky "find".....aren't they just the best? I used to find clothes I had forgotten I bought when I got to the bottom of the ironing basket! Hmmmm.....I don't even remember buying that cute little blouse! Your silver pieces are soooo darn pretty and I love them all cleaned up. Should I send my address now so you can pop them into the mail for me? I hate polishing silver so it would be nice to have them all cleaned up. :-)
Have a wonderful day sweet chickie....
Hugs,
Spencer
The silver looks lovely I always think of silver as a vintage look of yesterday
ReplyDeleteOH, who could forget you Sheila!
ReplyDeleteThose silver pieces are lovely, olden is wonderful! Happy painting! Cindy
I need to be in the closet....Miss you
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! Well, you KNOW I love silver...silver plate doesn't matter. As a matter of fact nearly all of mine is silver plate.
ReplyDeleteAfter my last garage sale find I started looking at my other finds and found out my salt and pepper shakers and my candle sticks are sterling! I was thrilled but it doesn't make a tad of difference. I love it all. That ice bucket is just amazing. GORGEOUS! I love it all shined up. They turned out beautiful..so..now where are you going to put it! We wanna see! :)
Hi Ho Silver!! I'm with you, Shelia!
Hugs and love,
Mona
I think it's time to have a party since you have the ice bucket and wine chiller all ready to go. They look beautiful all sparkly. If you want to use the ice bucket even if the glass if cracked you could nestle another glass bowl in the broken one. Stella
ReplyDeleteBoth of those are just beautiful and you have shined then up to a gorgeous state!!! Hope you are enjoying your evening. I bet you are tired and sore from all that painting. A nice warm bath would feel good on your aching bones.♥
ReplyDeleteHi Shelia
ReplyDeleteOh poor you being so very busy...but how wonderful to have a makeover of paint!
I love the work you did on that silver bucket too. Isn't it amazing the beauty that lies within...or underin..*s*..
We're looking forward to more pictures as you paint along..
*hugs*
Judi
Great job...don't envy you for all the painting...ugh...bet you'll find a fabulous idea for those silver pieces!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, I think they're beautiful, even when they're tarnished!!!
ReplyDeleteI got my Gollum dishes today and was doing a little happy dance!
Justiney :o )
G'eve Shelia ~ I am painting also, I know your pain for the gain. Then next week I am going to paint a friend's house for her ... love to paint, tho.
ReplyDeleteYour silver is gorgeous all sparkled up there!
Have a great day.

Hey you! Better be careful lest people start saying you're a closet case. ;-) Just being silly.
ReplyDeleteLove your silver, Mrs. Precious...
XO,
Sheila :-)
Oh dear..Sweet Shelia..you caused me not a wink!! I tried to fix the way I phrased that when I reread it this morning. Go see what you think. I wanted to make myself perfectly clear...I will go add a p.s. at the bottom...
ReplyDeleteoh dear, oh dear!
YOU said nothing..you only tried to get rid of my insecurity about my greenry. Yikes..I must fix this ..and now! Go look!
Huggers!!!
Mona
I adore both of the beautiful silver pieces, isn't it funny the way silver goes in and out of favor with us and we put it away and then we always get it back out, I love the ice bucket so shiney and pretty, glad you got them back out so I could see them, thanks my friend, come for a visit...Phyllis, when you come over you will see my cat tina's blog on my side bar she is lookin for other blogger pets to feature, give her a look, thanks...Phyllis
ReplyDeleteHey Lady! I've been busy, too! Not cleaning, however, just getting ready for my one and only Spring sale next weekend.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE tarnished silver AND silverplate! :) I have a wine bucket, too...found at an antique shop fairly cheap. I've used it for lots of displays and am so glad I bought it.
If you get a longing to travel and "do closets"....come to my house! I have some that would love your touch!
Have a great weekend! L, Dana
