Surprise, Surprise, Susrprise!

A Surprise Baby Shower!!

Hello, Dear Ones! Today I want to share with you the lovely Surprise Baby Shower that was given for my Dear Daughter! Son-in-law knew, Mr. Precious and I knew and we were all just wonderful at keeping the secret.

One of her friends asked if Dear Daughter and I would come over for tea one afternoon! Perfect!
All the guests had parked their cars away from her house so nothing looked suspicious! When we walked in...SURPRISE!

She was just so pleased and the smile never left her sweet face! A crown was placed upon her head that read...Mom To Be!

Friends...

Balloons...

The food table. Look at the sweet olden baby lamb vase, one friend searched Ebay and found it, flowered it and gave it to my Dear Daughter as a gift.

This was the cutest little game...that's Dear Daughter practicing (blurry, I know). Each guest had to hold a cell phone and a little stuffed tiger (baby) and try to hang as many tiny clothes on the clothes line as possible in 30 seconds. Poor baby was dropped quite a few times! :)

Again, I know this is blurry, but I just love the look on my Dear Daughter's face. This was making her so happy!

Then it was time to open gifts! She received such wonderful things. The little Sunbonnet Sue quilt was made by my Mother and the crochets blanket was what I made.
The the little clothes basket with the game clothes became hers! Everyone had brought an extra little outfit for the game and then it was gifted to Dear Daughter!

Mommy (me) and my baby with her baby and my grandbaby to be ~ awaiting...

What a wonderful loving and fun afternoon. Now next month little 'to be' will be born!!

Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song~

My Wish

I hope the days come easy and the moments pass slow
And each road leads you where you want to go
And if you're faced with the choice and you have to choose
I hope you choose the one that means the most to you

And if one door opens to another door closed
I hope you keep on walkin' ?til you find the window
If it's cold outside, show the world the warmth of your smile
But more than anything, more than anything

My wish for you
Is that this life becomes all that you want it to
Your dreams stay big, your worries stay small
You never need to carry more than you can hold

And while you're out there gettin' where you're gettin' to
I hope you know somebody loves you
And wants the same things too
Yeah, this is my wish

I hope you never look back but you never forget
All the ones who love you and the place you left
I hope you always forgive and you never regret
And you help somebody every chance you get

Oh, you'd find God's grace in every mistake
And always give more than you take
But more than anything, yeah more than anything

My wish for you
Is that this life becomes all that you want it to
Your dreams stay big, your worries stay small
You never need to carry more than you can hold

And while you're out there gettin' where you're gettin' to
I hope you know somebody loves you
And wants the same things too
Yeah, this is my wish, yeah yeah

My wish for you
Is that this life becomes all that you want it to
Your dreams stay big, your worries stay small
You never need to carry more than you can hold

And while you're out there gettin' where you're gettin' to
I hope you know somebody loves you
And wants the same things too
Yeah, this is my wish
(My wish for you)

This is my wish
(My wish for you)
I hope you know somebody loves you
(My wish for you)
May all your dreams stay big
(My wish for you)

  31. Morning Shelia

A baby shower, not something I have heard of much in the UK but sound a great idea!! A great fun way to help the couple and you and your daughter look so happy waiting for the big day!

Are you going to be with her when she gives birth? I was with my daughter in law and son when my grand daughter was born 11 years ago, what a great experience. I was able to bathe and dress the babe while they were sorting out the mum.

Wishing you all well in the forthcoming new edition to such a lovely family.

    Jackie in UK.

BIG smile. I love your song Sheila. Lucky you... Being grandparents is one of life's best thing to happen to us. You'll see.
