Getting Ready for Baby!!

Hello, Dear Ones! Today is Monday and it's just filled with fun things to do so I'm playing in Blue Monday hosted by our Dear Sally at Smiling Sally, Met Monday hosted by our Dear Susan at Between Naps on the Porch and Mosaic Monday hosted by our Dear Mary at Little Red House.

We've just returned from a visit to see our daughter and son-in-law and if you don't know, they are going to give us our first grandchild in March! We're excited to say the least.

Well, they had painted the nursery a sweet sweet green color but the room was nekked (Texan for naked). Also the green is much more vibrant in person.
Dear Daughter wanted an olden rocking chair. So Mommy, that would me moi, got on Craigslist and found her one!

Well, shoot! I forgot to get a before shot! The rocker had some olden nasty colored cushions and being the most talented Mommy that I am ~ I recovered the cushions in this sweet plaid! The back cushion is attached with ties.

This is more the color of the fabric. Now Dear Daughter will have a chair to rock my little grandbaby to be in!! Well, he or she won't be a little "to be" then! :)

Dear son-in-law put the crib together and the little linens were added and a tiny little nursery came into existence. Oh the joyness in my grandmother to be heart! Since we don't know the sex of our little baby, Dear Daughter went with a little farm animal theme and we're focusing on baby lambs mostly.

This is Dear Daughter, (although a tad fuzzy because I was just so excited!), in Babies R Us holding up the blanket of the set for the crib she had picked out. Being the most marvelous loving and will spoil her daughter to death kind of mother that I am ~ I bought it for her! :)

Here's the little bumper pad and sheet. So sweet. Dear Daughter thinks she is going to have a baby boy! They don't want to know. I will take a baby boy or a baby girl! :)

Here are the little baby animals on the bumper ~ aren't they sweet?

The stuffed animals are gathering! Listen...baa baa. I don't know what tiny baby bunnies say.

Mmmmwwaa!! They're always kissing! :)
They love the room and I'm so glad I got to help a tiny bit! Yes, I know Dear Daughter doesn't look very pregnant here but she is! She's carrying our baby very low and everyone says that means she's having a boy. :) What do you think?

Come back in a few days and I'll share the Surprise Baby Shower!! :)

Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song~

This Kiss

I don't want another heartbreak
I don't need another turn to cry, no
I don't want to learn the hard way
Baby hello, oh no, goodbye
But you got me like a rocket
Shooting straight across the sky

It' s the way you love me
It's a feeling like this
It's centripical motion
It's perpetual bliss
It's that pivotal moment
It's, ah, impossible
This kiss, this kiss, unstoppable
This kiss, this kiss

Cinderella said to Snow White
"How does love get so off course, oh
All I wanted was a white knight
With a good heart, soft touch, fast horse
Ride me off into the sunset
Baby I'm forever yours"

It's the way you love me
It's a feeling like this
It's centripical motion
It's perpetual bliss
It's that pivotal moment
It's, ah unthinkable
This kiss, this kiss, unsinkable
This kiss, this kiss

You can kiss me in the moonlight
On the rooftop under the sky, oh
You can kiss me with the windows open
While the rain comes pouring inside, oh
Kiss me in sweet slow motion
Let's let everything slide
You got me floating, you got me flying

It's the way you love me
It's a feeling like this
It's centripical motion
It's perpetual bliss
It's that pivotal moment
It's, ah subliminal
This kiss, this kiss, it's criminal
This kiss, this kiss

It's the way you love me baby
It's the way you love me, darlin', yeah

It's the way you love me
It's a feeling like this
It's centripical motion
It's perpetual bliss
It's that pivotal moment
It's, ah subliminal
This kiss, this kiss, it's criminal
This kiss, this kiss

It's the way you love me baby
It's the way you love me darlin', yeah

It's the way you love me
It's a feeling like this
It's centripical motion
It's perpetual bliss

  41. Dear Shelia, what an exciting time for you all. Seeing all those cute baby stuff makes me want to have on right now but some things hinder me: I would have to find a man to court, then after a decent period of time, get married, then have a baby. But the biggest hinderance of all is I'm going through menopause right now :o( Seriously, I'm happy for you all, may God bless you :o)

  60. I'm loving this story - my firstborn was a boy born in March. I carried him low, also, and hardly looked pregnant myself. March babies are wonderful - their birthdays always remind us that spring is here. We always plant peas in our garden on his birthday. You are in for a fabulous journey being a grandmother. Enjoy the ride. Sally
