My Christmas Home Tour

I'm joining Rhoda for her Home for the Holidays Tour and Julia for her Hooked On Holiday Houses Tours.I want to thank Rhoda and Julia for being our hostesses. Please make sure you go and visit them both to view others participating in this event.

Come on inside and warm up and I'll show you around my home all decked out in all of its Christmasness!

This is our Christmas tree. I didn't decorate with a theme. This tree is really tall, 10 or 12 feet, so I just put every decoration I had on it and could use some more! We always put it in the entry - it fits perfectly here and at night when the lights are on, it looks so pretty through our leaded glass doors.

Now we're in the living room and this is my piano where I play my Note Songs for you!

This is what Christmas is all about! The birth of our Savior - Jesus Christ!

Now we walk back through the entry and we're in the dining room.

Recently I found the silver plated ladle to use with my olden punch bowl. Would you care for an olden Christmas ball? :)

Don't be scared. Those are Santa heads under glass (cloches). I giggle every time I pass by them.

A little Christmas vignette on top of my barrister bookcase in the breakfast room.

Now we're in the kitchen - love these little trees on the window sill.

Can you tell what's in the wire cloche? It's olden cookie cutters from my childhood and from when my children were little.

These big cloches are the ones I got recently. They're kinda elegant for my silly little kitchen, but I just popped some pasta under them because I had to use them.
Here's my mantle in the den.

Christmas in the sunroom. Little stuffed ones sitting in the little red wagon ready to go for a ride. The orange bear with pink ears was mine when I was the littlest one! His name is Roscoe!

This little tree is filled with painted on the inside balls that I collect! I've picked them up all over the world!

Now you can see how the lights seem to multiply through the doors. Isn't it pretty? Do you see that little black form on the left hand side? That's my little precious Chloe Dawn. She, along with Mr. Precious and I, wish you a Merry Christmas.

Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song~

There's No Place Like Home for the Holidays

Oh, there’s no place like home for the holidays,
For no matter how far away you roam -
When you long for the sunshine of a friendly gaze,
For the holidays - you can’t beat home, sweet home!

I met a man who lives in Tennessee, and he was headin’ for
Pennsylvania and some homemade pumpkin pie;
From Pennsylvania folks are travelin’ down to Dixie’s sunny shore;
From Atlantic to Pacific -
Gee, the traffic is terrific!

Oh there's no place like home for the holidays,
'Cause no matter how far away you roam -
If you want to be happy in a million ways,
For the holidays - you can’t beat home, sweet home

I met a man who lives in Tennessee and he was headin’ for
Pennsylvania and some homemade pumpkin pie;
From Pennsylvania folks are travelin’ down to Dixie’s sunny shore;
From Atlantic to Pacific -
Gee, the traffic is terrific!

Oh, there’s no place like home for the holidays,
'Cause no matter how far away you roam -
If you want to be happy in a million ways,
For the holidays - you can’t beat home, sweet home!
For the holidays - you can't beat home, sweet home!

Plus little touches here and there in the evenings.

Did you see the large silver angel pieces! They were just the body and wings, but no face, about 18" or so! I really wanted one of those beauties, but didn't want to pay the price...$39.00, I believe.
