True Love Ways

Hello, Dear Ones, I'm joining in the fun with Dear Mary at Little Red House, Dear Sally at Smiling Sally and Dear Susan at Between Naps on the Porch. Please make sure you pop in to see these Dear Ones and then you can go see so many wonderful blogs and their creations.

This is my Mr. Precious! Some of you know he is a runner (a marathon runner) and most every Saturday morning he gets up early and goes for a long run. Well, I've not been feeling very well and he changed his ways just for me!
(Sorry for the poor quality photo! I took this from far away and cropped it up close for you to see.)

So from my Mr. Precious running on Saturday morning he made a complete change to cooking on Saturday morning ~ just for me! The metamorphosis, Dear Susan.

Ta Dah!!! He told me to sit down and he would fix breakfast! He was so proud of himself and I had to take a picture of him! See the Blueness, Dear Sally? (please excuse the holes in the wall - a shelf is waiting to be put back up and please excuse the doggy gate leaning against the wall. I hate to tell you, but REAL people live here! :) )

Now just look! Did it matter to me that he used three different sets of dishes? No no Nannette, it did not! Did it matter that he grabbed tea towels instead of napkins? No no Nannette, it did not! He placed all the food around my recently new found pumpkin tureen.

He made pancakes - from scratch! Did it matter that some were still mushy in the middle? No no Nannette, it did not! Just didn't eat that part! shhh... :)

He made scrambled eggs. They were really good but I was so excited I wriggled and the photo is blurry. I focused on the bowl and not the eggs! Sorry.

He also fried some sausage. Did it matter that the insides were not cooked through and were still pretty pink? Oh, yes yes it mattered! We mustn't eat raw pork! So back in the frying pan for a bit! ;)

Quite a big breakfast don't you think? Mr. Precious was so proud to do this for me! He's a darling! Mosaic for you, Dear Mary.

Now look at this! Dessert for breakfast? No no Nannette! Mr. Precious brought this home for me after work. I thought, a bit of spaghetti and a meatball?

Is this not the cutest cupcake you've almost ever seen? The meatball was a ball of chocolate cake and look at the spaghetti icing! It tasted good too.

I feel so blessed to have a husband who loves me so much and takes such good care of me. My Mr. Precious! He's a darling! God has given me my soul mate to share my life with and I'm so thankful. Make sure you read the words to my Note Songs for today, it's just beautiful!

Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song~

True Love Ways

Yes you know why
Why you and I
Will by and by
Know true love ways.

Sometimes we'll sigh
Sometimes we'll cry
And we'll know why
Just you and I
Know true love ways.

Throughout the days
Our true love ways
Will bring us joy to share
With those who really care.

Sometimes we'll sigh
Sometimes we'll cry
And we'll know why
Just you and I
Know true love ways
~sung by Buddy Holly

  1. Oh Shelia, you are so lucky to have Mr, Precious. He is so sweet. If that gesture did not make you feel much better, nothing will, but here's a wish for you to feel better anyway, all the way from London!...Christine

  8. Well he's a keeper, Shelia! He needs to come get me whipped into exercise shape. As soon as I stop falling and injuring myself (ask him if it cures klutziness and I'll hobble along the track too!) Next time I feel myself falling I'm going to say no no nanette! Maybe I'll magically stay upright!

I LOVE the breakfast he fixed for you...just so sweet..and I do love pancakes and Mrs. Butterworths. ummm.
And, do you know that Buddy Holly was from Lubbock, my town? And, that Mr. Sweet and several fellas gathered in Mr. Sweet's college room at Tech..including Buddy and Waylon Jennings. They all picked and grinned together all the time..now, don't tell anyone you heard this from ME but the story goes that Mr. Sweet and the others often turned out the light and didn;t answer Buddy's knock because....THEY THOUGHT HE COULDN'T SING !! HA...he had the last laugh tho!!!

  45. Thanks for stopping by....I didn't proofread my review very well...the clove oil was for toothaches. I called our local pharamcist...he couldn't believe that I wanted the old-timer's fix. It really works and the clove oil is supposed to kill bacteria as well. I got this "cure" from my grandparents. They always had clove oil in the medicine chest, along with sweet oil for ear aches.

  71. Oh Shelia -- too funny -- my comment was referring to how many hugs you would give Mr. P. from the comments on your post! I wasn't trying to guess how many birthdays he'd had. And now he's up to 71 hugs! Two from me!

  72. Hello dear Sheila, I do hope you are feeling better. I didn't get to everyone yesterday so here I am on Tues. I think Mr precious is just awesome. He did a fabulous job with breakfast. I soooo want a pancake right now. Even if I have to eat the edges. HA! The table looks very good considering a MAN put it together. Smiling big here. Using different dishes, how original! Your are lucky to have each other without a doubt. I read the words to the song and loved it.

When you feel better come and see our new baby puppy. She is a darling.

    Love and hugs xoxo, Jeanne
