Tablescape Thursday

Hello, Dear Ones! Welcome to another Tablescape Thursday hosted by our Marvelous Dish Diva Susan at Between Naps on the Porch. Please pop on over to visit her and share in the joy of all the dishaholics!

Even though I'm still traveling about, I didn't want to miss this most wonderful day, so I preposted! Don't you love it that we can do this in the Land of Blog? :)

First I wanted to show you an olden tablecloth I found recently...pretty cute, huh?

Well, my new olden tablecloth just screamed, "Make me cute with fruits and toss in a few veggies!" I did my bestest to please.

First I used my box colored round place mats. They reminded me of the crates fruits and veggies come in. So I've scattered fruits and veggies all over the place! Somehow I seem to always set a silly little table. I just haven't felt like getting all serious. Hope you don't mind. :)

I'm using salad/dessert plates ~ Fruit Haven by Spode. I just love these little plates! Can you love little Fruit Haven plates by Spode? Well, you bet your little fruit tree you can! These little plates are so colorful, covered with fruit, little butterflies and bees. These little winged creatures adore fruit, ya know. The Fruit Haven plates are sitting on white dinner plates from Big Lots (not to be confused with the Gollum dishes from Big Lots. Shoot! I didn't buy any of those.)

I'm using some olden embroidered napkins with precious little dragonfly napkin rings. I found the napkin rings at a thrift shop some time ago and have been itching to use them. I thought they looked right at home with my Ernest Hemingwayish flatware. I am using green glasses for our peach tea.

We love our centerpieces, don't we? Well, I'm loving mine for good reason. Do you see the porcelain basket filled with fruit? My Mr. Precious gave me this last year for my birthday and I thought it would work well with my tablescape today. I have it sitting on a little glass cake stand to give a little height to my table. Again, you know how much I love my things, and my porcelain basket is no exception. See all the pretty little fruit inside? Love it! See those pretty little cherries? Well, a little faux bee somehow found it's tiny way here. Better to have the bee on the cherries than on me, don't you think? :)

I have a couple of eggplants sitting here looking so beautiful. I believe I found these at Marshalls. Shh...don't say anything...they are really salt and peppers. They are loving just looking cute today. Now you know how I love my little salt and peppers don't you? You say, "Can you love little eggplant salt and peppers?" Why you bet your little eggplant parmesan you can!

Then so my little eggplants wouldn't feel lonely, I added some asparagus salt and peppers.

Always love a little candlelight and my artichoke votives seemed to fit the bill perfectly! I've used these many times and just love them! Oh, can you love...yes yes yes!! :)

Do you prefer apples or pears? You can take your pick. Well, that's my tablescape for today! You're very welcome to come and sit at my table, but leave your fly swatters at home! :)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song~

Tutti Fritti

A-Wop-bop-a-loo-lop a-lop-bam-boo
Tutti Frutti, all over rootie,.....
A-wop-bop-a-loo-lop a-lop bam boo

I got a gal, named Sue,
She knows just what to do. .....
I've been to the east, I'vebeen to the west, but
she's the gal
That I love the best.

Tutti Frutti, all over rootie,....
A-wop-bop-a-loo-lop a-lop bam boo

I got a gal, named Daisy,
She almost drives me crazy ....
She knows how to love me ,
Yes indeed
Boy you don't know,
What she's doing to me

Tutti Frutti, all over rootie,.....
A-wop-bop-a-loo-lop a-lop bam boo

I got a gal, named Daisy...
