Hello, Dear Ones! As I told you yesterday, one more day of photos of my trip and that's all. Well, until I go somewhere else which is coming up in the near future! :)
We rented a car and took a little day trip down or up to Palm Beach to see The Breakers Resort. Oh, let me tell you, Dear Ones, this was a most gorgeous place!

Thank you all, Dear Ones, for coming along with me on my little travels! Hope you're all not as hot as I am this summer! I'm staying inside with the AC!
Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)
I'll leave you with a little Note Song~
I'll Be Seeing You
(this song always makes me cry, but I still love it)
(this song always makes me cry, but I still love it)
I'll be seeing you
In all the old familiar places
That this heart of mine embraces
All day through.
In that small cafe;
The park across the way;
The children's carousel;
The chestnut trees;
The wishin' well.
I'll be seeing you
In every lovely summer's day;
In every thing that's light and gay.
I'll always think of you that way.
I'll find you
In the morning sun
And when the night is new.
I'll be looking at the moon,
But I'll be seeing you.
I'll be seeing you
In every lovely summer's day;
In every thing that's light and gay.
I'll always think of you that way.
I'll find you
In the morning sun
And when the night is new.
I'll be looking at the moon,
But I'll be seeing you.

I love seeing your travel pictures...there is no such thing as too many photos of a great trip. Love the Publix photos...too funny!!
ReplyDeleteWow - what lovely photos. Such pretty buildings and yummy looking food. Nalley's brother was a chef in Boca Raton a few years ago but now is chef at North Carolina State.
ReplyDeleteI've loved every bit of your trip, Shelia!! Gorgeous photos!
ReplyDeleteWOW!!! That place is fantastically beautiful, honey! The food look great also.....
ReplyDeletexoxo,

such beautiful places! those crab cakes look divine :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for taking me on a beautiful tour, I don't get to go to fancy places like that very often. You're funny, going into Publix to take pictures. Now, that place I've been to many many times. :)
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Chris
Love these beautiful photos!
ReplyDeleteI had never heard of Publix, either. Guess they don't have them in Texas.
Thanks, dear one, for taking us along on your lovely trip! We are planning a vacation soon but nothing fancy like this...more the "camping out in the mountains" type fun...
xo bj
The mosaic thingie is so cool. You really know how to put them together for the most impact. I got such a giggle from Mr. Precious stopping at Publix for you. He is such a sweetie and has this blogging thing figured out. How many husbands would be so patient!
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Sweet One!!! Loved your photos and description of all the gorgeous places you went to in Miami... Even the PUBLIX! That was so cute and you know being from Florida I have been in them many times... As a matter of fact in our area they bought out all the Albertson's but one. So they are about on every corner... LOL
ReplyDeleteHave the sweetest day my friend!
(((HUGS)))

I love the Breakers and we stayed there last year on business. It is so pretty and so pinky! Glad you finally visited a Publix for the southern water:) I enjoyed your photos today as they bought back such nice memories for me.
ReplyDeleteJoyce
More lucisousness! I've, too, wondered about Publix - thanks for the tour. How could you keep from buying one of those cakes and eating the whole thing. I guess you were full of crab cakes, weren't you? Sally
ReplyDeleteHey Shelia! It's been so long since I've visited but I'm getting out and about again.
ReplyDeleteLooks like beautiful places and (gasp!) are those crab cakes I see? Yummy!
What fun!
Shelia, you have taken me on a mini-vacation in my mind! Your photos and your mosaics are beautiful. And we can tell what is most important to ya by the large photo in the middle- FOOD! LOL It would definitely be the center of attention for me. *grin*
ReplyDeleteWe don't have Publix, either. Maybe one day Mr. Sullivan and I will find one. We shop Kroger locally and then make a trip to Cincinnati for a specialty store shopping venture at Jungle Jim's. I find all my ethnic specialty foods there. It's huge- check it out online. hugs, Sue
Oh, those hotels are so beautiful. And you do NOT look pregnant! And how funny that you actually went into Publix just to take pics for us Publix shoppers!
ReplyDeleteJustine :o )
Oh Shelia.I love your pictures. They are all so wonderful. It's like going there with you.
ReplyDeleteShelia, such a wonderful trip and all the photos are just fabulous. Love them. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteDadgummit, I'm gonna have to stop visiting your blog so early in the morning. Cause everytime I leave, I leave hungry. Those crab cakes look divine!!! And those cakes....well I'm not even going to go there!!! lol
ReplyDeleteSo glad to see you're back. Shelia! Great photos! I've never seen a Publix either.
ReplyDeleteBrenda
Fabulous vacation photos! Shelia, you are the best travelogue hostess...and now when my husband says we need to go to Florida to visit his parents, I can say, "sorry-- Shelia already took me!"

I am just so jealous of the beautiful vacation you took!!! I want to go somewhere beautiful like that!! Thanks for sharing your wonderful pictures....that helps...lol
ReplyDeleteI have never been in a Publix either but it looks nice!!
Publix is a Florida store; its headquarters is in Lakeland, FL. I've shopped there for over 45 years. I like it because it's clean and the prices are reasonable.
ReplyDeleteNow, the Breakers ... THAT's the ultimate of Grand Florida living.
Shelia, I love your pictures...they are just gorgeous!
ReplyDeletePublix is the best grocery store...I just adore it.
Thanks so much for displaying my rooster button and joining the party. What fun we will have!!!!!
Hugs, Barb
Oh Shelia, you are such a hoot! I felt right at home with your Publix photos. I have 2 Publix markets just minutes from me and I have shopped there every week f-o-r-e-v-e-r. The original store was so busy, they put another store right across the street from the first one!
ReplyDeleteI've lived in FL almost my entire life and I've never been to either Palm Beach or Boca Raton. I enjoyed your photos of both. (And oh lordy, those crab cakes look devine! Mmmmmm! )
LOL Oh, Shelia, the comment from John was me! I forgot to change back to Smiling Sally after posting for my husband!
ReplyDeleteThe hotels are beautiful and you took excellent pictures and created real pretty mosaics, Shelia. I miss you! My youngest daughter went to Atlantic Univ. in Boca Raton her first year in College but got homesick so moved to UF in Tampa the following year. I just came back from Tampa last weekend and was there for 2 weeks. Catch you again soon!....Christine
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for shareing all the lovely photos from your vacation. When you get to see photos of the restrooms you really feel like you've been there!
ReplyDeleteThe sunflower photos were from a couple of years ago. My MIL has a lot of birds in her yard, from wild peacocks to doves to ducks. She used most of the flower heads to give them a treat. They loved pecking those seeds out. Of course we kept some for ourselves and the kids loved picking out the seeds too!

Mr. Precious seems to be understanding just like Marc about the need to slip into places to take blogging pics!
Oh everything looks so yummy too...I am glad you had such a great time.
We had a wonderful trip too but I can't share pics until I get back home on Sunday. You asked what I'm up to well I'm at the cottage in NY state. I'm having fun visiting but will have to post later.

Shelia, your mosaics are so pretty. The Breakers Resort is gorgeous. How fun to get to eat in the middle of all of that beauty. Did you feel like one of the rich and famous? I've never been to a Publix, but your photos sure make me want to go. I see where Gollum gets those wonderful desserts! laurie
