Hello, Dear Ones and welcome again to Tablescape Thursday hosted by our Dear Diva of Dishing, Susan at Between Naps on the Porch. Make sure you visit her to see other Dishaholics today!
We're really proud of our disease! :)
(oh, my goodness, please don't look over there on The Little Richard - you'll see more of my dishes that I didn't even put away! Oh, the shame of it all!)
Then I'm using my very olden 1957 silverware (it's silver plate) by Rogers and Bros. and the pattern is called "Exquisite". I have some of these little tiny forks, I'm supposing they are for horderves but not sure. I like them, so they're out on the table! Maybe I could use them to poke through a nicely grilled spiced up fish filet!
Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia :)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song~
She Works Hard For The Money
She works hard for the money,
So hard for it, honey.
She works hard for the money,
So, you better treat her right.
She works hard for the money,
So hard for it, honey.
She works hard for the money,
So, you better treat her right.
Onetta there, in the corner stands,
And she wonders where she is.
And it's strange to her,
Some people seem to have everything.
Nine A.M. on the hour hand,
And she's waitin' for the bell.
And she's looking real pretty,
Just waitin' for her clientele.
She works hard for the money,
So hard for it, honey.
She works hard for the money,
So, you better treat her right.
She works hard for the money,
So hard for it, honey.
She works hard for the money,
So, you better treat her right.
Twenty-eight years have come and gone,
And she's seen a lot of tears.
Of the ones who come in,
They really seem to need her there.
It's a sacrifice working day to day,
For little money, just tips for pay.
But it's worth it all to hear them say,
That they care.
She works hard for the money,
So hard for it, honey.
She works hard for the money,
So, you better treat her right.
Already knows, she's seen her bad times.
Already knows, these are the good times.
She'll never sell out, she never will,
Not for a dollar bill.
She works hard...
She works hard for the money,
So hard for it, honey.
She works hard for the money,
So, you better treat her right.
Hard for the money,
So hard for it, honey.
She works hard for the money,
So, you better treat her right.
Alright.

Work those fishies Shelia! I do love Marshalls also! Love your treasures!
ReplyDeleteMuch nicer than going to Red Lobster! I am ready to eat.... yum, yum. I just love those vases.
ReplyDeleteThe blue one! wow just makes this center piece.
I just spent a fortune at Marshall's yesterday! They have the best stuff! And the cutest beachy/fishy stuff right now!
ReplyDeleteAll the best,
Allison
Shelia,
ReplyDeleteYou have quite an aquatic thing going on here and I LOVE it!! And I also sing the praises of Marshalls. They are really dragging out all of the outdoor things!
I love your fish jugs!! Do they gurgle when you pour?? I think these are part of an old English tradition and even now, the fish jug holding water on the table. But yours are so creatively holding ferns and juggling ball candles!!!! Great idea!!!
And I LOVE your starfish dishes, but Shelia, to be honest with you, I think they are sea horses. I know I live in the Great Plains, but I do know a sea horse when I see one. But maybe it is seahorse...oh well. They are so pretty, all of the aqua blue!
I also like your silver. Rogers Bros. is very, very nice. I have a few pieces, not a whole set.
Well, you have a lovely evening. I just love your table!! :-)
xoxo
Jane
Okay, Shelady... I'm officially IN LOVE with those seahorse dishes. Seahorses are some of my favorite critters, and those are too cute! I love the color on the plates, too, and the tablecloth you ironed the snot out of... why do they have no iron tablecloths that wrinkle??? Ever figure that out???
ReplyDeleteThat table is GREAT. Love, love, LOVE it!
I want to play with y'all one week. I just wish you were nearer so we could join forces and be the Shelady Team! I've got some sea critters (dishes) of my own I could contribute, and we could have a great big seafest!
XO,
Sheila :-)
Oh wow, Shelia, this is just stunning. I LOVE all of your fish jugs and dishes, they are all just stunning. You have created the most beautiful table and your pics are just beautiful. They look like they should be in a magazine. Gorgeous. I love all the beautiful detail you included in the table. Just lovely. Question, how did you delete your blog dress and also how did you make the Cloche Party button on the side go to my blog when you click on it. I am so new to this blog thing. I have no idea how to do all this great stuff. Thanks for the gorgeous tablescape and thanks for the help. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteShelia!!!! Your table is gorgeous! You already know, don't you, how much I love all your detail! I do. The fish jugs are wonderful and I dearly love the chargers.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful.................!!
Hugs, Barb
Beautious...but aren't those seahorses??? as opposed to starfish? I'm just askin'! Not that I am a sea officialnato!
ReplyDeleteI have some yummy shrimp in the freezer right now waiting to be grilled. They would fit right in on your tablescape!!
Hi Sheila! I love your tablescape! I've got to tell you a story! 25 yrs. ago my best friend was getting married and one of the wedding gifts from a family friend was a majolica fish pitcher! We both thought it was the ugliest thing we'd ever seen!!! The only reason she kept it was because it was from family! Well, thank God our taste has matured! She still has it and it's gorgeous! I'll have to take a pic sometime and share with ya! God Bless! Lauralu :)
ReplyDeleteShelia, I found this on the website that MIGHT have had your background. They said that they had exceeded THEIR bandwith and that they were correcting the problem, that you should be good to go soon if your background suddenly disappeared.
ReplyDeleteI picked out a polka dot one from there because I'm kind of a spotty type of girl AND the white was bothering my eyes. I'll let you know if I get any messages.
Love you...
XO,
Sheila :-)
Shelia!
ReplyDeleteWhen and where did you get allll those fish jugs?? Last I knew you had only 2 of them...white ones. I love them. Both pairs are sooo pretty. You have great fish theme going on. Love the dishes and the crabs and everything...never mind your Richard with the dishes..we would never have even noticed.
Hope you are having a nice day
Judi
I have a giveaway too....
very cute and fun! i love the seahorse plates and the balls with the starfish & lobsters!
ReplyDeleteHi Shelia!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute tablescape! It makes me want to have lobster tails for some reason ;)
You know that house a few posts back just broke my heart! If I had the money I would fix it up too. So sad!
I've missed you!!
xo,
rue
Hi Sheila, we were out of service on our computers until we came home from playing in Yellowstone all day. I have missed some of your posts and I hate that. Finding time to visit my friends is much harder than posting a few pictures.
ReplyDeleteI adore your new blue fish and your whole collection too. I too love Marshall's. Sadly, where we live I don't have one. Boo Hoo! Anyway your tablescape is wonderful and very seaworthy. I love your sense of humor and the fun and smiles I have when visiting your posts. You are the very best blogger girl. Also, the best at doing a tablescape.
Love and hugs...Jeanne
You did such a great job on your tablescape. I love how you followed through on the fish theme. Very nice. I do think the little forks are seafood forks. I have two and get them out when we have crab legs. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteSheila my dear,
ReplyDeleteYou so crack me up! Your story is always as good as your table and your table is fabulous! So much detail, so much creativity! I love the soft blues and whites and Marshalls is surely going to love you! They should send you some freeby dishes for all the great plugs! This is one super creative table. Hugs, Cindy
So glad you found some food for those hungry fishies! Just think of the dishes on The Little Richard as your 'Dessert Buffet'. Three cheers for Marshalls - I even have to drive 120 miles round trip to check them out, which I do periodically! Sally
ReplyDeleteHOW creative you ARE!! Would you look at all that beauty and wonder and...and...well...I am totally undone! What an imagination you have my sweet friend! I keep seeing something new...then I go back again for fear I may have missed a tidbit. I love the ferns...which are one of my favorite plants of all time! I have them everywhere.
ReplyDeleteYour tablescapes is just plain amazing!
~smiles~
Mona
Shelia, you're a total doll for all the help. I will give it a try. You did make it sound simple. I so appreciate the help. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteHello again, Mrs. Precious... yes, I did change clothes and hat again. I'm playing. Did you see a little boat and some bigger polka dots??? I tried to sign on from Google, and they had the OLD dress. Then when I logged on, it's the NEW one. LOL! Rather like the Twilight Zone or Musical Chairs, not sure which.
ReplyDeleteI don't quite know what to think. But, it makes for some interesting talk. "Why it's just scandalous how many pairs of shoes that woman has!" ;-)
XO,
Sheila :-)
I love the "sea and fish" theme, sugar! Cute.
ReplyDeletexoxo,
Connie
I love the beach balls. Gosh I better put my car on auto pilot to Marshall's because you sure did have fun finding such cute things there. The seahorse plates are fun. Are you serving crab cakes or sea bass today?
ReplyDeleteJoyce
Oh what fun! You really worked your fish theme well. I like all your fish jugs centering your theme! Lovely job Shelia!!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, I love those fish jugs with the ferns and candle in them! And the seahorse plate and beach balls...such a fantastic table!! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Sheila,
ReplyDeleteYou do know how to treat fish. Terrific table, under the sea...
Anything aquatic goes far in my book. Thanks for the peek.
~Maryrose
I had so much fun as you told about your Tablescape! I adore the blue fish! I love all the fish! You have just out did yourself! I just love it! I need to come to your Marshall's!
ReplyDeleteIt's great Sheila!! I absolutely love all your little fishies and how you've done your table!
ReplyDeleteI "need" those fish plates!
I am so sorry!! I misspelled your name, in my excitement, over the fish, Shelia!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Sheila!
ReplyDeleteWhat a breathtaking table! So soothing. I love the starfish dishes. The blue fish jugs are a great addition to the tablescape. Thank you for the inspiration!
Those fish jugs make me smile - so cute! My fav is the chargers - love the design. Linda
ReplyDeleteShelia, I'm singing the praise for Marshall's for you!
ReplyDeleteI was just recently at two Marshall's near me and none like those were even close! Those are so fun!
Great looking table, I love all the "fishy" touches! :-D
O, dearness one...this is such a lovely tablescape. I love every single thing about it...
ReplyDeleteI can't muster TOO much emotions right now...I have the tummy virus...waaaaaaah....
i'll come again when i feel like i am gonna live...
xo sickly bj
That is really beautiful Shelia. I love the dishes with that tablecloth and the candles in the fish jugs. Makes me feel like I'm at the beach. You are so very talented. Thanks for all the great photos.
ReplyDeleteLove those fish vases! And I wish I had a Marshall's close by...those seahorse plates are to die for!
ReplyDeleteYour sea theme is so cute! The seahorse plates are my favorite!
ReplyDeleteYour fish are wonderful, I especially like the white ones, they would have gone great with my tablescape this week!! Dishes are sooo cute. I just want to pull my chair up and join the party! x0x0~Kathy~ @ Sweet Up-North Mornings...
ReplyDeleteYou have been busy Marshall shopping, Shelia, and I love everything you bought. I like all the fishy, crabby, seahorsey accessories, all so pretty and I just love the certerpieces you put all together....Christine
ReplyDeleteWell, I swaney, Miss Sheila if you haven't outdone yourself with fishes on this Tablescape Thursday. You truly did a wonderful job putting together all things from the sea.
ReplyDeleteI do love it! The colors are perfect for sea loving tablescapers and the dishes are out of this world! Yes, yes I love Marshall's! Please don't give me yet another reason to stop and shop! LOL!
Your aqua blues are just gorgeous. You get an A+!!
You cracked me up this week Ms. Shelia!! The plates are adorable, the fish are hilarious (are they supposed to be?! I especially like the one holding the candle in its mouth!). Cute little touches. This one made me smile!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Linda
Well, you've shown your creativity with this tablescape. Just darling the way you've pulled all your fish jugs together. My favorites are the seahorse plates and those adorable salt and pepper shakers. Great job! Stella would be pleased!
ReplyDeleteOH SHELIA! I thought something completely different when I read "FISH JUGS" I was so glad it wasn't the minnow traps I remember from my childhood! I thought - how is she gonna make that beautiful? But - no doubt - you would have. This is so gorgeous! Great job, and I love the color combo. Looks like my bedroom - a work in progress, but I'll show it soon.
ReplyDeleteOh, this is absolutely WONDERFUL! You are so gooooood at this tablescaping stuff! And I even though I don't know diddly about putting together a tablescape myself, I do agree with Karen...those little forks are shrimp/seafood forks because I have some that go with my flatware.
ReplyDeleteShelia, your table is so pretty! I love the ocean theme. Love the seahorse plates.
ReplyDeleteOMG girl this is just beautiful...I am liking all this fish stuff you have going on here..love the s/p those are just great and I was doning my Happy dance with you for Marshall's which I love right up there with Ross...Chari also did a sea table that's just so lovely...hey I went bigg but the pics look funny to me not like yours...May you have a great day my friend...hugs and smiles Gl♥ria
ReplyDeleteOh your fishy tablescape is so delightful! The aqua tablecloth is just perfect, and I love those seahorse plates. I've never seen anything like them before! I love all the other accessories too, the fish jugs, the seashell candleholder, the fishegg napkin rings, and those awesome lobster beach balls! I thoroughly enjoyed everything!
ReplyDeleteKady
Oh Shelia, I will definitely join the cheer for Marshalls! What a fun table you have set. I love that soft, watery aqua color -- so subtle and beautiful!
ReplyDeleteOh, and I had to laugh when you said you "ironed the snot" out of that tablecloth... LOL
xoxo,
mary
You are just too cute!! I loved this post & I love your tablescape. And I looooooooooove Marshalls. Except for their long lines (don't get me started). I have to stay away from there or I spend too much money. I'm going through Marshall withdrawals right now. You won't tell if I sneak to Marshalls & buy something? I didn't think so. Thanks for sharing all your fishies.
ReplyDeleteShelia, I was giggling all through this one. Love it! I'm not normally a fan of fish anything, but these are just darling! I love your centerpiece, how cute! I am definitely going to have to find out if there's a Marshall's anywhere near here.
ReplyDeleteAgain, great table!
Patty
Hello my funny little friend Shelia...I don't know what I enjoyed more...seeing your pretty tablescape (done to perfection) or your witty & fun commentary...LOL
ReplyDeleteI've really missed visiting your blog while I've been on break, but I hope to be back to regular blogging when we come back from Colorado. See ya later, ;-) Bo

The fish jugs were a perfect start for a great table. Love all of your "sea"/"beach" elements.
ReplyDeleteMorning Pickle! Girl you can make a table look like a million bucks!!!! Love it sweetie...looks like something right out of a magazine...we don't have a Marshalls around here...sounds like our TJ Maxx....you know I love that place! lol
ReplyDeleteI want some pretty white dishes but I just can't find the right ones...and when I do see some that I like I have to hold on to the buggy to keep from fainting when I see the price tag! lol
Beautiful post as always dear friend..loved my visit....have a glorious day sweetie! ~♥~
Your 1957 silverware is my age, Shelia! I like this theme a lot. So full of fun and beachy and shells made of anything are always a hit with us decorators, aren't they? I guess we girls have suddenly become dishaholics. At least it has been sudden for me. Now I don't know where on earth to store all the dishes I keep wanting to purchase! Think there's a support group out there for us? Oh yeah, it's here at Susan's!
ReplyDeleteBrenda
Shelia, this is adorable...thank you Marshalls! What a great looking table. It is perfect in every way. The only thing missing is an....aquarium! hahahaha. OK seriously, I love the fishy theme and all your little added extras!
ReplyDeleteblessings,
Debbie
hurling ferns, that's so funny. Okay, I'm on my way to Marshall's now!
ReplyDeleteLove your table setting! I would feel like I was on a tropical vacation while having my fish dinner at this table.
ReplyDeleteYou are a riot! Every time I get blue, I go to your blog and always leave with smiles!
ReplyDeleteYour table is really fun and whimsical and I enjoyed the tour!
Scribbler
I was hearing "Under the sea" from the little mermaid when I was looking at your fabulous tablescape! I love the colors and the unusual salad plates (they are adorable). The beach balls are so unique and add a lot to the table. Very pretty and well done!
ReplyDeleteMornin' Sheila...
ReplyDeleteMy friend...what a lovely tablescape!!! I just love, love, love all of your fish pitchers!!! Ohhh...I'm just crazy over your entire seaside tablescape!!!
Okay...have to tell ya, I also did a seaside tablescape this week. Girl, we could mix and match our dishes and come up with some really awesome tablescapes...wished I lived closer to you...hehe! I adore your little seahorse plates...I think I need some! Hehe! Your place setting is gorgeous!!! I have to tell you though...your fabulous centerpiece is the first thing to take my eye when I looked at your beautiful photos!!! It's so grand!!! Ooooh...and I love, love, love those little beach balls...I need some of those too, my friend! Girl, the nearest Marshalls is over 200 mls. away from me...boohoo! Hmmm...never thought to check if they have a web site...I'll have to do that!
Well Darlin'...I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and just adore your beautifully set table!!!
Warmest wishes,
Chari

The seahorse plates are cute!
Great table, S..such fun!
You sure can dress a table! :-)
ReplyDeleteHi it's Kim from Facebook too! :-)
Shelia...I love your fishy tablescape! You are the only person I know who could use the words "snot" and "hurl" in a post and it be just delightful! :-) LOL I've had stubborn tablecloths like that! I adore your seahorse china...Yea, Marshalls! I'm throwing my pom, poms in the air for Marshalls and for your tablescape!!! Happy TT, my friend! Susan
ReplyDeleteGood evening Shelia, This tablescape is so beautiful! I love everything about it ♥ All of your tablescapes are so pretty... sigh.. You know just how to put things together. I wish I had your knack :>)
ReplyDeleteWell that was a breath of fresh sea air. I feel all sailorish now. I love the fish jugs...and I adore those sea horse plates!

ReplyDeletewow wee what an interesting table setting, love it! I felt like I was about to sit down to a seafood buffett LOL
ReplyDeleteHelen
I do believe I need to buys some stock in Marshall's. We bloggers can keep it thriving all by ourselves.
ReplyDeleteShelia, I feel quite afloat enjoying your tablescape. My gills are working on double speed.
It is really gorgeous, and the colors are so soothing.
Another exquisite table creation from our most melodic Shelia. Are you ever going to run out of dishes to scape with? lol
ReplyDeleteI feel so left out, I have no birds, no fish jugs or a cloche. Hmmm? Maybe I'd better swing by TJ's later.
Hugs, Bridge
* "PERFECTION"! Absolutely BEAUTIFUL PERFECTION, in every way, Shelia!!! Love, love, love it ALLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!! (And of course, the FABTASTIC PITCHERS hit a chord with me and it makes me SO HAPPY to see them!!!)~~~
ReplyDeleteBIGGGGGEST, warmest hugs w/ thanks for such a SUMPTUOUS TREAT!
"Yer the MA'AM!"~~~
XOXOXOXO Linda *
What a great table! Shelia, those fish plates are so great, and perfect with your fish jugs. There is something fishy going on in Blogville, because I used some fish plates (not as neat as yours) on my tablescape also! Your tablecloth looked so smooth to me. I am not good at iron tablecloths, so when I read that you had trouble with yours, I was so excited and started looking for wrinkles, but couldn't find any. What pretty and soothing colors are on this table. Love those bread and butter plates. laurie
ReplyDeleteHi Sheila...
ReplyDeleteJust read the sweet note that you left for me on my tablescape...thank you so much for coming by and for your awesome comment and compliments! You made my day, my friend!!! Thanks so much for the well wishes too!
Have a wonderful weekend,
Chari
PS...ohhh, it's such a pleasure coming back by...to get another peek at your pretty tablescape!!!
How FUN is that table... LOVE the fish!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun tablescape this was, Shelia! I was in Marshalls a couple of weeks ago and saw the white fish jugs. I came so close to buying one, thinking of you and also thinking how proud you'd be of me for having one. But where would I put it?
ReplyDeleteJustine :o )
I was catching up on your posts again. Love the fish jugs. Enjoyed the If I were rich post. Great job on the tablescape. Such fun catching up with you. Did you ever find out anything about the bandwith issue?
ReplyDeleteYIKES! Those poor fish are choking on the candles and ferns shoved down their throats!
ReplyDeleteI just love your fish jugs and that seahorse china. You really did a wonderful job bringing all the pieces together for this tablescape! Yay for Marshall's!
ReplyDeleteHii Shelia:
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for visiting me on my new blog The Tablescaper. I'm loving blog land. Interestingly, although I thought I had combed every inch of Between Naps on the Porch, I had never been on your blog before. I love your blog!!! I love tea parties too and have had many. Your fishes are great. It's neat how you mixed the blue and aqua together. I have a lot of sea type dishes but tend to keep the blue seperate from the aqua. I'll have to try it. - The Tablescaper
Sorry it's taken me this long to drop by after this I'm checking out your first blue fish jugs post. My friend has those in a pretty bright orange - do they gurgle when you pour them out? I'm off to check out Marshall's and Homegoods this afternoon. I hope you left some good things behind for me. ~ Robyn
ReplyDeleteAdorable tabescape, love the fishy theme, the pretty centerpiece fish are so unique and interesting! Lovely work! Thanks for sharing! ~Katy
ReplyDeleteMorning Shelia~
ReplyDeleteI just love this tablescape....the fish jugs were meant to live with you....the seahorse plates are adorable. Perfect setting for gulf shore living.
Hugs to you~ J
Oh Sheila! You do know how to have lots of fun with a tablescape! I adore your fishie jugs and your new ones are so, so pretty! This table is just perfect for Summer!
ReplyDeleteSo very beachie and puts me in mind of warm sands and breezes. : )
