Met Monday

Hello, Dear Ones! It's time for more wonderful transformations! Please go over and visit our Dear Susan at Between Naps on the Porch for bunches of makeovers - small and large!
Today I'd like to show you a teeny weeny inexpensive transformation. Love those kind, don't you? Can you love teeny weeny inexpensive transformations? Why you can bet your little pinky finger you can! Little cute chest, faux flowers and flower holder thingys.

I needed a little flower arrangement for one of my guest bedrooms and this is what I came up with. See the pretty little chest? Well, I found this little lovely at Ross for $6.99! Gotta love that place. Some little bushes of faux flowers. Then I got two, although, I just needed one, of these little flower holder thingys ~ I'm really not sure what you call them. But these are not the Styrofoam kind, but the kind you soak up with water and place the stems of live flowers into. I always buy this type, I like the ease of poking my fauxs into this better and I don't even have to soak up water into it! :)

Okay, I just unwrapped the flower holder thingy and one fit just perfectly in my little chest. After I had cut off all the flower stems from the bushes, I began to poke my stems into the flower holder thingy! In about ten minutes tops, I had this!
I think it turned out beautifully, don't you?

Here's the side view with the little chest's lid open. I'm loving my teeny weeny inexpensive transformation! Can you love...? Don't even ask because you know you can! :)

Here's the backside. I think it's lovely! Hope you don't think I'm bragging! I'm really not! Just loving it! :)

That's it, Dear Ones. Guess what? These flowers came from the Dollar Tree! Yep, they did! They're rather pretty, don't you think? It really doesn't matter where my fauxs come from if I like them - you know what I say - I love my fauxs and my fauxs love me!

Hmm...I think I see the beginnings of a tablescape. My little teeny weeny inexpensive transformation may have to wait before it goes upstairs to the guest room! ;) You just may see this little arrangement again and soon! ;)

Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song~

Paper Roses

I realized the way your eyes deceived me
with tender looks that I mistook for love
So take away the flowers that you gave me
And send the kind that you remind me of
Paper Roses
Paper Roses
Oh how real those roses seem to be
But they're only imitation,
Like you imitation love for me
I thought that you would be a perfect lover
You seemed so full of sweetness at the start
But like a big red rose that's made of paper
There isn't any sweetness in your heart
Paper Roses
Paper Roses
Oh how real those roses seem to be
But they're only imitation like you imitation love for me

I have a question for you. I know you switched to a stretch template...love it...but, your text is running over the paper background and is difficult to see at least for me. Do you see it like this, or is it just my computer? You know I want to read every bit of what you have to say!!

I may just have to steal that idea since that is the only kind I can use in Miss Tassie here....I kinda have a Tuscan look going on in here now so I am thinking the chest with grape leaves or something like that... 51. Yes, you did see my favorite fabric made from old curtains into pillows. I see a glimpse of your curtains from the same fabric behind your charming arrangement. When we put in our plantation shutters, I took the red fabric curtains down; but I still have the valance up. Just love the fabric too much to get rid of any of it!!! Sally

  77. Shelia, this little transformation says a LOT!!! How simple, yet so pretty, AND inexpensive. I have been a bad bloggy friend to many for the past few weeks. I can't seem to get anything done. My house is still in a state of chaos- I have so much to put away and reorganize, and I have no gumption to do it... A funk of sorts, I guess is what I have. I went through all of your posts that I've missed this afternoon and my mood has improved. Your home is so lovely, you set a gorgeous table, and it all looks as if it was done w/such ease... I need to get going on everything on my list to do. Thank you for the inspiration to get off my behind.... Hugs, Sue P.S.~ I love those little staffies....
