Tablescape Thursday

Hello, Dear Ones! Welcome again to Tablescape Thursday with our hostess, Susan! She is the Diva of Tablescapes and has the most wonderful way of playing with her dishes. Make sure you go pay her a visit to see others playing today!

First of all I must show you my new olden tablecloth I bought in Alabama for $12!

Isn't it just the most precious little thing? I love it and wanted to use it today! I'd like to give you a little tip. Some of you probably already know this...to take out some stains on your olden cloths you can drop a couple of those little Polident fizzies, you know that clean false teeth, in your washing machine and soak the cloth just a bit and most of your stains will be gone! Yes, it really does work! Try it!

Now my precious little olden tablecloth was just screaming out, "Pink Dishes! Pink Dishes!"

So I just had to set my table with a variety of Pink Dishes! Don't you just love to see plate rims? Can you love plate rims? You bet your grape jam spilled on olden tablecloths you can! Especially since we're set up for breakfast.

Do you see the gorgeous hand embroidered Battenburg lace napkin? Well, my sweet wonderful friend Martha sent those to me! Thank you, thank you and thank you again, Dear Martha! I love these. Can you love hand embroidered napkins? You bet your sticky little fingers you can!

It's Hammer time ~ Break It Down! LOL The pattern of this sweet little bowl is Rose Bouquest by Johnson Bros. These were my first nice dishes Mr. Precious got for me over 30 years ago. I do love them. Now you know you can love your little dishes!

Next Break Down ~ my little plate. It's small and could be a bread plate and is from a set of newly acquired lovelies (Ross) - Emma's Garden by Spode. You'll probably see a lot more of these little dishes in the future because they just mix so well with other dishes I have.

Next Break Down ~ my Rose Bouquet dinner plate. Isn't she lovely? I'm sure she was made from love! If you love music you know what I'm talking about! :)

Last plate Break Down ~ Emma's Garden charger. Oh, what can I say. I'm in love! Yes, I can be in love with my chargers!

Since we're having breakfast, you can have your choice of coffee or tea. Mr. Precious loves his coffee and I love my tea. Look at the little rose so sweetly sitting inside the cup! I see a chip! Oh, sadness, oh, doomness oh gloom! :(

Sugar...cream?

Again, I'm loving the rose inside the creamer.

Pink glasses, you've seen these before, water or juice?

We must have salt and pepper for our eggs and these little shakers will do the trick! These were hand painted for me by a little olden lady many years ago! Aren't they precious?

My centerpiece for our breakfast table is a lettuce leaf looking vase filled with fauxs. I've said it before and I'll say it again...I love my fauxs and my fauxs love me! :)

Pop on the table a few little votive cups with some tea light candles and you're all set! Candles for breakfast? Of course! Every meal is perfect with a little flicker from a flame! Hope you've enjoyed my Pink breakfast tablescape today. Don't forget to go and visit our Diva Susan!

Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song~

Isn't She Lovely

Isn't she lovely
Isn't she wonderful
Isn't she precious
Less than one minute old
I never thought through love we'd be
Making one as lovely as she
But isn't she lovely made from love

Isn't she pretty
Truly the angel's best
Boy, I'm so happy
We have been heaven blessed
I can't believe what God has done
Through us he's given life to one
But isn't she lovely made from love

Isn't she lovely
Life and love are the same
Life is Aisha
The meaning of her name
Londie, it could have not been done
Without you who conceived the one
That's so very lovely made from love

  42. Shelia,

This is just such a pretty table. I don't think I would ever buy a dish if it didn't have flowers on it, so of course I love each and every one of yours.

The tablecloth is so pretty~and thanks for the tip on stains (I can use that on my clothes, I'm always spilling!!) i have also heard that you can clean that scum you get inside your vases with Polident, just fill the vase with water and drop in a tablet!!

In addition to all the florals, I love the pink goblets. I have not seen them before~such a pretty shade of pink. The S & P shakers are beautiful, that woman can paint!

And I am a new convert to faux flowers. Who can afford real ones anymore without feeling guilty that some people can't even afford groceries? And Michael's does have some of the best! ;-)

I hope you enjoy the rest of the week, Ms. Shelia! You're number 1 on my hit parade!!

    xoxo
