Tablescape Thursday

Hi Dear Ones! Before I begin my Tablescape Thursday post I just wanted to tempt you one more time with my giveaway! No, I'm not giving you my bed or all the red and white toile pillows! But one of the prizes is that cute little rooster pillow in front that so many of you like! I placed him on my bed to show you how sweet he would look on yours...sitting among many pillows...

...or just a few pillows...
...or being all charming by himself. Now if you're interested in entering your name for Mr. Rooster pillow along with a few more goodies just comment here and I'll add your little name.

Okay, on with the show! Thursdays are so exciting to me because I get to show you the results of my playing with my dishes! Now our most wonderful Dish Diva and hostess today is Susan! Please go by her blog and visit her and you can also see more dish players! You're gonna love it!

I was looking through some of the pictures in my olden cookbooks. I have some old ones and got to thinking about the 1960s! Well, being the dishaholic that I am, I had found some cool little dishes that reminded me of that time so I've tried to put together a groovy little outta sight tablescape for you!

Okay, gang, check it out...
Cool? Righteous!! My little table is just a melting pot of colors, Daddy-O!
Okay cats and chicks, here we are in my pad - the breakfast room to be exact.
Let's all hang loose a minute as you look at my hip dishes.
Are these little dishes neato or what? I know, I've gone ape over dishes! ;) Notice the little turquoise ramekin - it's so boss!
These are just so fine, I think!
You like?
Now I've even folded my green napkin in a 1960s way. Fab, huh?
I'm wiggin' out here! I was just a cruisin' down the aisles of Marshalls and what to my wandering eyes did appear? These far out solid silverware with all the colors as my boss dishes!! I almost dropped dead! I tell you, I almost did! I almost had a cow!
Look!! And they didn't even cost a lot of bread! Choice!
Now to my little glassware! Blue blue, my love is blue! That's a song, cat!
You know how the 1960s had fake, um, I mean faux fruit. I should have gotten out my plastic grapes! But instead I'm gracing my little stemware with a faux orange slice. Orange Aid, anyone?
Shoot! Bummer!

Look at my far out centerpiece, man! Don't you love that green? It's so cool!
My Mother gave me these stemmed candle holders many a year ago. Now just hang loose, don't get bummed out, I just use them occasionally! See, there's three in graduated sizes. What a gas!!
A little closer look at my neato vase and my not very realistic colored faux flowers! But I love my faux flowers and my faux flowers love me! Dig? Righteous!
One more thing. I have my little ice bucket just chunked full of ice for your drink of choice, oh, I almost forgot - it's Orange Aid! No respectable 1960s table would be without one of these little hammered beauties!

Slick, chicks!
Fab, huh?
There you have it, gang. My little attempt at a 1960s tablescape! Hope you like it, tell me the truth, I can take it, so just lay it on me, man!

Be a bunch of cool cats and chicks,
Shelia ;)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song~

Good Vibrations

I, I love the colorful clothes she wears
And the way the sunlight plays upon her hair
I hear the sound of a gentle word
On the wind that lifts her perfume through the air
Im pickin' up good vibrations
She's giving me excitations
I'm pickin' up good vibrations
(oom bop bop good vibrations)
She's giving me excitations
(oom bop bop excitations)
Good good good good vibrations

Close my eyes
She's somehow closer now
Softly smile, I know she must be kind
When I look in her eyes
She goes with me to a blossom world

I'm pickin' up good vibrations
She's giving me excitations
I'm pickin' up good vibrations
(oom bop bop good vibrations)
She's giving me excitations
(oom bop bop excitations)
Good good good good vibrations

(ahhhhhhh)
(ah my my what elation)
I don't know where but she sends me there
(ah my my what a sensation)
(ah my my what elations)
(ah my my what)

Gotta keep those lovin' good vibrations
A happenin' with her
Gotta keep those lovin' good vibrations
A happenin' with her
Gotta keep those lovi'n good vibrations
A happenin'

  15. Oh, Shelia! Now, if I can just stop giggling long enough to comment! Ha! LOVE this tablescape, and your hilarious groovy commentary! I love that you used *happy* colors this week...with spring almost here, I think we are all craving happy colors, right?!

Your blue glasses and colorful dishes and flatware are great, and I'm also loving the green retro vase. Your faux flowers are just fine and dandy too. You know, I've found that faux flowers don't tend to look quite so faux in photos as they do in real life, so you're good! :-) This was super fun, as ALWAYS, Shelia, and I have to say again, that little rooster is the cutest rascal...love him!
