Tablescape Thursday

Hi, Dear Ones, and welcome to Tablescape Thursday! You know how we all love Thursdays and especially when we can show off our little dishes. Thank you, most darling Dish Diva Susan at http://betweennapsontheporch.blogspot.com/ for hosting this most fun event. Please go to Susan's blog and you can visit more dish divas (actually, we are all dishaholics!) and see their handy work.

Well, Valentine's Day is almost here and I set my table appropriately for Mr. Precious and me. Just the two of us.

I have white dishes sitting on red chargers with a red napkin tucked under the little salad plate with a little sprinkling of three little sparkly red hearts.
Now I have this olden piano key that means the world to me sitting on an olden Valentine and I'm giving it to Mr. Precious because he holds the key to my little heart! ;) Ain't I sweet?
Now we're over on Mr. Precious side of the table.
Sweet little chocolate hearts for my sweetie and me!

I'm using my olden silverware. Do just southern gals call their flatware 'silverware'? I guess we just can't help it, can we?
Here I've used my little thrift shop red creamer - just love this little creamer! Can you love little thrift shop red creamers? Why you bet your little chocolate sauce you can!! ;)
Now I do love my little Target birdie salt and peppers too! Can you love little birdie salt and peppers? You bet your tweet tweet tweets you can! ;)
Candlelight, olden Valentines and a flutter of rose petals! Isn't it so romantic?
Red glassware to hold our favorite beverages.
This is my centerpiece - a very olden milk glass basket. I made the floral arrangement many many years ago, but I really like it and have never wanted to change it. This little basket just pops up all over the house and today little milk glass basket has popped up on my Valentine table and is being very romantic in the candlelight.

There you have it, Sweet Dear Ones, my little romantic Valentine's Day table for two! Hope you enjoyed yourself and picked up a piece of chocolate. Kiss kiss!!

Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia :)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song~

My funny valentine
Sweet comic valentine
You make me smile with my heart
Your looks are laughable
Unphotographable
Yet you're my favourite work of art

Is your figure less than greek
Is your mouth a little weak
When you open it to speak
Are you smart?

But don't change a hair for me
Not if you care for me
Stay little valentine stay
Each day is valentines day

Is your figure less than greek
Is your mouth a little weak
When you open it to speak
Are you smart?

But don't you change one hair for me
Not if you care for me
Stay little valentine stay
Each day is valentines day

~sung as a duet by Mr. Precious and me! ;)

Your tablescape is just beautiful. You really went all out to make a romantic evening for yourself & Mr. Precious. As always, your narration was so funny.

  10. Beautiful table, as usual. Now, about silverware. I am a YANKEE, and I have always said "silverware" whenever referring to knives, forks, and spoons--even if it's not silver. You Southern gals did not invent this language-thing. Er, unless... I'm REALLY a GAL FROM THE SOUTH.

  11. Shelia, that tablescape is divine. Very romantic and sweet. I love the key idea too. Beautifully presented and very creative. My Precious is one lucky man so something tell me when he runs away on his morning jogs he runs back home just as quickly. And I love calling it silverware too. Thnaks for your inspiration.

  33. Shelia, your Valentine table looks so lovely.

I was very sad earlier this week, because somehow, my Valentine Decorations have gotten lost in my move last Sept. Then only thing I could find was my heart table runner. I feel very un-valentine-ish. But after seeing your table, I have decided that I WILL go back to Hobby Lobby and get the red chargers that I thought would look nice under my Christmas China, because they would also look nice under my plain white plates for Valentines day. I can put my vase full of roses in the center and some pink candles in my crystal candlestick holders and things will look a lot more festive.
You have inspired me my friend. Hope you have a GREAT Valentines Day with Mr. Precious!

    ♥hugs♥

I have the stemmed red glasses in your tablescape. My Christmas setting is where you'll find them too. My family prefer these to hold their favorite beverage. I think the embossed pattern is what draws their attention.
