Tablescape Tuesday

Hello, Dear Ones, and welcome again to Tablescape Tuesday. Don't forget to go visit our Dish Hostess with the Mostess Dish Diva Susan at http://betweennapsontheporch.blogspot.com and you can then go visit more dishaholics.

Do you remember my last week's tablescape? Well, I like to change things up a bit sometimes and thought I would give you a reverse tablescape. Am I a silly or what? Yes! I'm a silly, but I thought this might be fun to see the taking down, putting away of my tablescape. Are you with me? Okay...break it down! I don't mean M.C. Hammer either :)
First the napkins are taken out of the napkin rings...
and put into their perfect little spots.
The glassware is taken off the table and put away in my antique server. Oops! Please don't look at the extension cord under there. Well, I guess it's too late, you've already seen it! :(

More glassware put away.
Then all the little votive candles are taken off the candlesticks and put into a little drawer.
Now it's time to take away the china. I use these little bumper pads (I know that's not what they're called, but that's what I like to call them ;) to put between each piece for protection from breakage. I hate breakage, don't you?
Nicely stored away under the china cabinet.
So neatly put away! Aren't you proud of me? :)
All my silverware is stacked away in it's own little box!
See? We're getting there!
Here are the cereal bowls emptied of my faux flowers. Now Mr. Precious can have his cereal in them again. Of course I'll wash them first! ;)
I thought I'd put my faux flowers into my olden punch bowl for a spell.
See? I believe they look rather pretty in here, don't you?
All the blue wired ribbon is taken off the candles and neatly rolled back up to be stored away for another day. Did I ever tell you how clever I am? ;)
Tablecloth is taken off the table, folded neatly and stashed away in the highboy.
And there you have it, Dear Ones, a nekked (that's Texan for naked) table. Ready to be dressed again for the next Tablescape Tuesday!

Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia :)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song~

Without You

No, I can't forget this evening
Or your face as you were leaving
But I guess that's just the way the story goes
You always smile but in your eyes your sorrow shows
Yes, it shows

No, I can't forget tomorrorow
When I think of all my sorrows
When I had you there but then I let you go
And now it's only fair that I should let you know
What you should know

I can't live if living is without you
I can't live, I can't give any more
Can't live if living is without you
I can't give, I can't give any more

No, I can't forget this evening
Or your face as you were leaving
But I guess that's just the way the story goes
You always smile but in your eyes your sorrow shows
Yes, it shows

Can't live if living is without you
I can't live, I can't give anymore
I can't live if living is without you
Can't live, I can't give anymore

  43. What a beautiful table. All of the white roses are so pretty to look at. After looking at the rest of your pic. I discovered I have the same china. My mom gave it to me almost 20 years ago. She had it when I was small. Every year on my birthday I would make her get it out and have tacos for my birthday meal.
    Thanks for sharing.

  45. Shelia, you are amazingly neat and organized! How wonderful. I have to go all over my house trying to remember where I put those napkin rings, etc.! I am trying to become more organized, but I'll never reach your level. laurie

  46. Sheila, you made me smile today. No one but you would lead us through the breakdown of your lovely tablescape. I loved all of the process. First of all you are so neat. I need you to come visit and direct me into organization. LOL. I have trouble with that! I have a tip. Foam plates are very good for protecting between your plates. A great cushion effect.

You are a sweetie Sheila and I do admire you very much. Hope all is well with your mom. I am still praying for her healing.

    Love...Jeanne

  56. Hi Shelia, Hope you don't mind but I couldn't resist peeking in your china cabinet and highboy while we were putting all those goodies up. I saw some other cute things! :-) That was fun going in reverse. Maybe we should have a backwards Tablescape day, huh? We could call it "Take-it-off Tablescape Tuesday." :-) Great post! Susan

  57. I dearly love to see good organizational skills in action! I am very impressed with the reverse tablescaping skills, Sheila, very nicely done. One of my biggest struggles is keeping everything in its place, and finding storage solutions for the ever growing collections of things that call out to me while shopping. You have got everything so nicely situated...you've got this down to an art, I tell ya!

I'm so pleased you would come to see me and so please leave me a comment and I'll do my very best to respond back to you. Be a sweetie...Shelia :)
