An update for you: the doctor said for the 3 1/2 weeks of brokenness, Mother's arm looked good. He put her arm in a different support and refilled the pain medicine and we're pretty good to go! He said she couldn't have any therapy on her arm until he said so - so I called and canceled the Occupational Therapy lady. The Physical Therapist was supposed to come today, but no no!
She is sleeping more soundly and I actually had a good night's rest and even went back to bed this morning for a while! Woo Hooness!!
Thank you so much for your wonderful comments, words or encouragement and prayers to us! You are the best and I so appreciate you! Thank you dear friends.
Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)
I may not be posting as regularly because I have let so many things go in the house. You know how it is. But I know I'll be back for Pink Saturday.
Blessings to my sweeties,
Shelia ;)

You probably had these pictures loaded and hit "schedule" instead of "draft." Now we see the gorgeousness of your new rug matching your carpeted stairs but don't get to "hear" you talking. RATS!
ReplyDeleteIt's real pretty. I bet Sal is right. Don't feel bad, the carpet can talk for itself until you are ready to.

Hi sheila, I am so happy for the good report on your mom. Lets pray she continues to heal quickly now. I am so glad you are finally getting more rest. Being a caregiver is a very hard and exhausting job.
ReplyDeleteYour new rug is gorgeous. Am I seeing right. Does the same pattern run up the stairs? It all looks lovely. I am happy for you dear Sheila. It has been a long hard struggle with your mom too.
Take it easy and do concern your self with visiting. I have not been commenting much because I just said goodbye to 10 days of company. The quiet feels so good. ^_^
Hugs...Jeanne
Oh, I am so silly. I meant to say 'do not' concern yourself with visiting. LOL
ReplyDeleteHugs...Jeanne
Hello Shelia...I must say your new rug is gorgeous! I can't blame Chloe Dawn for wanting to make it her own.
ReplyDeleteGreat news about your mother. And wonderful news you are getting much needed rest.
I know what you mean about having to take time away for home and family. I've been neglectful of blogland the past week or so and even this week, due to spending quality time with family, working to finish the condo and even a few aches and pains. Sometimes a slowdown is a good thing. Hoping to see you soon!
Take it easy and enjoy life.
yeaness for your mom! and woo hoo ness for your sleeping in a little!
ReplyDeleteI am very impressed with that most gorgeous of rugs!!!!
missed ya lady...you always make me smile!
So happy about your mother Shelia. I do hope you both can now get some rest. It will be a weight off your minds that everything is healing as it should.
ReplyDeleteAs for the new rug well it is classy, elegant and as gorgeous as everything you choose for your house. Love it!!
Beautiful rug!! LOVE the colors!! And your floor is absolutely gorgious!
ReplyDeleteMonica
beautiful rug!
ReplyDeleteGlad your mom is healing well. When my mom broke her arm, the swelling was there for a long time. The injury to the tissue causes the swelling - but if the bone is healing, that is great!
Keeping you and your mom in my prayers.
Hugs. Ruthie
Love your runner and rug. I've got the same rug, different color (aqua).
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad your mother is feeling better. I'm trying to talk mine into staying with me for a few weeks, but she won't.
Shelia I'm so thankful to hear that the doctor says your mom is progressing well--and that you are getting a little more rest--that's important too since you're the caregiver. You did a great job choosing a rug and I'm not surprised at all that Chloe Dawn loves it!
ReplyDeleteSo glad your mom's arm is doing better....that's great news. And the rug is PERFECT!
