Please, Let Me Explain!! :(

Dear Ones, I'm so sorry for being so out of it this weekend. I posted my Blue Monday on Pink Saturday! I don't know if I'm coming or going! Our house has been torn up now for over a month - if you visit me often you know we're having new flooring installed and it ain't been easy!! I'm stressed, and I going to whine just a bit. Nothing has happened when they said it would. Wrong color tile, carpet not in, layers can't do it, installers mess up! Don't even come when they say they will! I'm pulling out my already very short little gorgeous hair by the roots!! So forgive me, I know I'm a few bubbles off, but I will be better. I'm whining right now, but I will get on with the fun of Blogland. I just needed to vent a bit. Thank you!

*****************************************************
Would you just look at these lovelies! My sweet blogging friend, Justine at Justine's Froggy Bloggy sent this to me just because she likes me! She likes me even if I'm a few bubbles off! Look at the sweet precious card and she's even sent Chloe Dawn an edible doggie card! See the lovely black bag? There was a wonderful Christmas ornament she had picked out just for me and she had it personalized, too! Isn't it the sweetest thing you've ever seen? Little notes and a banner that says "Sweet Shelia's Note Songs 2008". It's precious! Thank you so much, Justiney!! I already have this little cutie hanging on my tree.

**************************************************

Jan at Jan and Tom's Place hosted a Christmas Card Exchange. We were to stick a little something in our cards for fun. Well, that meant we would get Christmas cards filled with goodies. I'd like to show you my cards and little treasures. I'm a bit behind on this - I was supposed to post this on Friday. I'm sorry Jan!! :(
This lovely card and sweet angel is from Jan at Jan and Tom's Place

Oh, thank you, Sweet Ones, for the beautiful cards and little gifts. I appreciate you all so much!

**************************************

Now, I feel so much better. Thank you all so much for leaving your sweet comments. I so appreciate you coming to see me and Blogland has been such a joy! I've met so many nice folks and consider you my friends! I really do try to visit everyone who leaves a comment on my blog, but I've been so out of it the past few days and I haven't done it. Please forgive me! I love you all!!

Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song~

Just Dropped in to See What Condition my Condition Was In

I woke up this mornin' with the sundown shinin' in
I found my mind in a brown paper bag within
I tripped on a cloud and fell-a eight miles high
I tore my mind on a jagged sky
I just dropped in to see what condition my condition was in

(yeah, yeah, oh-yeah, what condition my condition was in)

I pushed my soul in a deep dark hole and then I followed it in
I watched myself crawlin' out as I was a-crawlin' in
I got up so tight I couldn't unwind
I saw so much I broke my mind
I just dropped in to see what condition my condition was in

(yeah, yeah, oh-yeah, what condition my condition was in)

Someone painted April fool in big black letters on a dead end sign
I had my foot on the gas as I left the road and blew out my mind
Eight miles outta Memphis and I got no spare
Eight miles straight up downtown somewhere
I just dropped in to see what condition my condition was in

I said I just dropped in to see what condition my condition was in
Yeah yeah oh-yeah

  3. You're allowed to be human, even though Bloglanders adore you, Oh Great Divaness. We love you more now that you've revealed that you are not perfect. (However, we still KNOW that you are!)

Justine sent the most gorgeous gifts! I really love, love, love that ornament on your tree; and an edible one for your fuzzy face, too! I've never heard of that. She's a good Blogging friend.

    The cards are all sweet.

Take a deep breath and know that MAYBE this time next year, your new carpet will be finished!

  4. Dear Shelia, I would be in a worse mess than you are with all that is going on in your home. I've been amazed at how you keep going with your floor projects interrupting life. Take a deep breath and remember - it will be over soon and you will be SO happy with the results. Until then, you don't have to explain or apologize - you're among friends. ~Adrienne~

  9. Your bubbles will be in order soon, I'm sure!! (Never heard that expression, did you make that one up???) Try to relax the next few days and enjoy Christmas. It doesn't make any difference if your house is ready; we all know it's your heart that must prepare for Christ's birthday celebration. And, I'm sure your heart is ready!!! Sally

  10. Good morning oh Bubble-less Wonder!!! Everything is sure to be OK...............sometime!!!

I have been busy, too, baking cookies and getting around to getting our tree up and decorated. Finished the cookies now...on to the tree. But, alas, we have a funeral to go to this afternoon. A young 23 year old girl, daughter of Tom's boss...died in a fall at Cincinnati's Crossroads Church...she was in a play and fell from her harness. So sad.

I still haven't posted the winners of our Give-Away...was to do that lastnight, now postponed that til later today or tomorrow!!

Thanks for playing with us in the Card Swap...and for posting about it!!

Have you got the days straight now? It's SUNDAY!!

    Love ya,
    Jan

  13. I knew something was going on to frazzle you. It is alright contractors are enough to frazzle anyone and especially at this time of year when it is a bit hectic anyway. Love all of your beautiful cards and little presents.

  14. Shelia,
I know all about the trials of contractors and renovations - so I will listen to you vent ANY TIME! What a great ornament Justine sent to you, and that edible card is just amazing - I didn't even know they made those. I'm out shopping for the puppies Christmas presents today - so I will be sure to look for that.

  17. Shelia I would feel just the way you do, only I would be saying it through tears (my way to deal with frustration). Even in your whine (which I don't think was really whining!) you are so upbeat! I'm sorry things haven't fallen into place the way they should have!

The cards that you received are wonderful. What beautiful treasures you have!

    take care,
    Dawn

  23. Hi Sheila
Well I thought you must be very busy that you didn't notice what was going on with your post...I thought that you were having a busy weekend and had intended on scheduling the post to appear on Blue Monday but it didn't work out that way.

I know everything gets out of wack and schedule when things are not going so well...but just think of how great you'll feel when it finally is complete.

Just hang in there a little longer...
have a lovely evening and a very Merry Christmas too..*hugs*

  27. Oh Sheila what a mess you are in sweetie . But this too will pass. I don't know how people keep their jobs in the home remodel business. They NEVER do what they say they will do . And sometimes tear up more than they fix .
Don't worry about answering me back Sheila because we are on the count down now til Christmas. Everyday gets a little more hectic til it's over .
You and your family have a very Merry Christmas in case I don't get to comment again before Christmas.

  28. Hang in there Shelia it does get better. We renovated our kitchen and it was a mess! We do need to update our powder room and foyer tile but I know how caotic it's going to be and I am not looking forward to it. The card give-away looks like it was afun thing to do. I would have participated in that. You got some nice gifts. I will be looking forward to seeing a post from you again soon when You get your bubbles back in a row! ~ Robyn
