Oh, Dearest Ones! I'm so glad to be back with you! I didn't have a virus in my puter, but just some messed up files that the little tech guy at Dell helped me fix!! I'm so glad someone is so smart with puters! So the little graphic says it all - I love you, Dear Ones! Now that I've met you all, I can't live without you!
Okay, now on with the show! It's Blue Monday!
The sweetest Smiling One, Sally,is our hostess
for this event every Monday. Make sure you go
to her blog and see all of the Blueness http://smilingsally.blogspot.com/!
Today I'm going to show you a wreath I made a few years ago. I had seen one Martha Stewart had made using vintage glass ornaments and fell in love with it!
Now, if I were going to go to all the trouble of making this wreath, I certainly was not going to use glass ornaments just to see my creation bust up in a few years. So, I went and purchased a Styrofoam wreath and wrapped it in cream colored ribbon. I shopped and shopped for plastic ornaments to use - pretty ones, plain ones, big ones, little ones and got out my glue gun and went to town!
Now you can see it! This is a bad angle because you can see a bit of the ribbon on the left side. I should find some more little ornaments and glue them in. The wreath is really much prettier in person but you get the idea. I have it in a different place this year and will share that with you a little later.
I must tell you something! For those who visit me often you know we've been waiting for our new floor tiles to be installed! Well, we have a new floor! Hallelujah! I'm so happy! We really love it and I will show it to you in a few days. On Wednesday we're getting new carpet for the living and dining rooms which are on each side of the entry with the new flooring! Now, you know what that means!! My baby grand piano and all of my living room furniture has to be moved. I have to unload my china cabinet, my buffet and my server of many of my dishes! Yikes! I have a few dishes. So I'm going to be a bit busy. Bear with me... :)
But this brings me to a little award that was passed out by Dear Gollum, the most famous author who knows everything about everything. If you're not familiar with her, you must go visit http://designsbygollum.blogspot.com/. She understands us 'dish gals'. She's a dish gal herself. Thank you Dear Gollum for this wonderful Dish Addict Award!
Happy Blue Monday and be a bunch of sweeties,
I'll leave you with a little Note Song~
The Christmas Wreath
Our Christmas wreaths
Are fat and round
Made of woodsy things
We tied brown cones
Upon the green
And stuck red berries
Upon the wreath
For our front door We tied red ribbon from a store.
