Christmas Decorating From Last Year

Today I am going to show you more of last year's decorating since I'm at a standstill with this years! I hope that will be okay with you. First I'll show you our tree in the foyer with a few closeups of some of the ornaments.
Can you see how perfectly a tree fits in this area? The staircase gently winds around and a Christmas tree is just perfect in this spot! We have double front doors with leaded glass and from the outside the tree is so beautiful. The lights just multiply by the zillions!

Here is a little needlework I did in 1977! It's old and I still love it! I framed it and it comes out every year!

This is the area we call the Crystal Bar! We're not drinkers and our house has this little bar area and it's a perfect place for all my crystal with all the 1970's mirrors! ;P A friend gave me the lighted glass block last year.

A couple of candles sitting in hurricanes filled with clear marbles!

Very fashionable sleek and trim snow couple.

Sweet and cute little candle topper in the kitchen!

Oh, I would love to introduce you to Mr. and Mrs. Bunny Foo Foo. They're sitting all lovey dovey on the sunporch. I made this little pair about 15 years ago and they are about as tall as a three year old child. I made their festive attire too! Let me tell you a little story: Now I must tell you my sewing machine at the time was very old. When I started sewing the furry fabric together for their precious little bodies...my machines started smoking and I burned it up! Well, I didn't strike a match to it or anything, but I burned up the motor and the belt came off. I cried! Mr. Precious is such a dear...he took me right out and bought another sewing machine for me so I could finish up the Foo Foos. I really don't think they appreciate how they came to be - smug or not they sit somewhere in our house at Christmas time.
Hope you've enjoyed visiting my last year's decorating. Maybe one day I can put up my this year's tree!
Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia
I'll leave you with a little Note Song~
It's The Most Wonderful Time of the Year
It's the most wonderful time of the year.
With the kids jingle belling,
and everyone telling you,
"Be of good cheer,"
It's the most wonderful time of the year.
There'll be parties for hosting,
marshmallows for toasting and
caroling out in the snow.
there'll be scary ghost stories and
tales of the glories of Christmases
long, long ago.
It's the most wonderful time of the year.
There'll be much mistletoeing
and hearts will be glowing,
when loved ones are near.
It's the most wonderful time of the year.
