Pink Saturday

Good morning, Pinkest Ones, and welcome to Pink Saturday! This lovely Pink event is hosted by our very own Pink Beverly at http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/my_weblog/2008/11/a-christmas-fair.htm. If you would love a day filled with Pinkness, please go visit Beverly and then you can go visit Pinkness all over the Land of Blog!

Okay, I know this is supposed to be the day we honor 'Pink', but I also have a small confession to make. I must tell you, Dear Pink Ones, I gave in, I caved in, I folded, I weakened, I succumbed, I broke down, I was unresistant, I was vulnerable, I was spineless, I was powerless, I just plain wimped out!! Let me explain...
Do you remember those lovely cake stands colored in Pinkness that I showed you last week? Well, I could have kicked myself for not buying them and so many of you agreed!! I think you know what I did. I confess. I'm guilty. I went back and bought them!!
Woo Hoo!! Pink cake stands! What could be more lovely than these?

Look at the rims...little embossed flowers! My little heart is going pitty pat! Or is it Pinky pat!
Whatever! ;)

Isn't this the sweetest and Pinkest of cake plate rims? Now, I believe if you buy something, use it! Don't just put it on the shelf and imagine the possibilities!
Ta Dah!! I put this most lovely Pink cake stand to use. I baked some red velvet cupcakes, iced them with cream cheese frosting and then added Pink sugar sparklies!!
These little cupcakes are singing my praises that I've chosen to place each delectable one so carefully on the Pinkness of the cake stand! This is the same 'me' who last week was a Pink failure! My how time and Mr. Precious' little money can change things! ;)

Feast your gorgeous eyes on the lusciousness of the frosting and Pink sprinklies! I know, I'm not too good of an icer...I don't have one of those fancy frosting thingys.

Dear precious Pink Ones!! This cupcake is for you and for putting up with my downfalls!
Just let me remove the little glass dome and you can have it!
Wait!! Let me taste it for you! Yep, it's good!! Trust me! I do know my cupcakes! ;) Now my life is complete!! Well, my life will be complete the day after Thanksgiving when the big sales start and...that's another story! :)
Be a bunch of Pink sweeties today,
I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~
I'm Sorry
I'm sorry, so sorry
That I was such a fool
I didn't know
Love could be so cruel
Oh, oh, oh, oh
Uh-oh
Oh, yes
You tell me mistakes
Are part of being young
But that don't right
The wrong that's been done
[Spoken:](I'm sorry) I'm sorry(So sorry) So sorry
Please accept my apology
But love is blind
And I was to blind to see
Oh, oh, oh, oh
Uh-oh
Oh, yes
You tell me mistakes
Are part of being young
But that don't right
The wrong that's been done
Oh, oh, oh, oh
Uh-oh
Oh, yes
I'm sorry, so sorry
Please accept my apology
But love was blind
And I was too blind to see
~ sung by Brenda Lee

  1. Morning Shelia--I just love the pink cake stands--the detail on them is just lovely, what a great find!

I have not lost my blog list while changing my blog background, but not all the backgrounds I tried would appear on my blog, a couple just turned everything black! I figured it must be gremlins in the Land of Blog!

  2. Good Morning Shelia
YOu didn't fool me...I knew you would break down and do some reshopping after last week's visit. I thought you were just "window shopping" with your mom last week and you'd go home and go "oh no"!! and zip back on your own.
The cake plate is beautiful. I love plates and dishes with a lovely rim on it like yours. Colours is beautiful and cupcake smells devine!! I would have one please.
    Have a nice Pink Saturday.

  29. Oh Sheila, I love them. I'm so glad that you went back for them. I do that a lot. I will leave the store without the things that seem to call my name. If I still want it the next day or so and it's worth taking a trip out again then I know that I really want it and it's worth the money.
But, now I want some cute little pink cake stands too. I have three little girls, you know, so we could find lots of reasons for pink cake stands around here. If you find any more, let me know. hehe
    Have a great weekend
    *hugs*

I adore how great the cupcakes look/looked atop that pink beauty! You will so enjoy using those serving pieces--you could even create an ongoing Pink Sat post that shares all of the ways you could use those cake plates--let your imagination go wild/er! :)
What a great Pink Sat. Share---you lucky ducky, you! Dana

PS the bathroom photo will be on my blog soon, I just ran out of time and I don't post every day--I just can't seem to pull it together enough to do that.
Hope your Thanksgiving is filled with amazing blessings, my new blogging friend.
