Bookworm Award

Blogland is so much fun! I think you all know that! There's so many tags, memes and awards to receive and then to pass on. My sweet friend Bo at http://blinksnwinksfrombrown-eyes.blogspot.com/ has passed this award on to me and I'm excited to play along...

Here are the rules:
Pass this on to 5 blogging friends.

Open the closest book to you, not your favorite or most intellectual book, but the book closest to you at the moment, to page 56.
Write out the 5th sentence, as well as two to five sentences following that...

And it is:
"Mad Girls in Love" by Michael Lee West (just to let you know, this is our own dear Gollum in the Land of Blog and she is so famous and she is an author!)

Pg. 56 the 5th sentence says:
"Then I made the mistake of hollering out, "She's no such thing! Why, she'd never break the law!" Two nurses ran out of their glass cubicle and grabbed my arms. The skinny one asked why I was yelling. I pointed to the TV. Bitsy's face was gone, replaced with a Mr. Clean commercial. "My daughter was on TV," I said. "I swear she was!"

Okie Dokie, now I would like to pass this on to 5 of my sweet little blogging friends. Have fun girls!!

1. Miss Linda at http://threadsofloveliness.blogspot.com/
2. Miss Janice at http://etiquettewithmissjanice.blogspot.com/
3. Rechelle at http://walnuthavencottage.blogspot.com/
4. Penny at http://lavenderhillstudio.blogspot.com/
5. Gloria at http://wwwhappytobe.blogspot.com/

I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~
The Book Song Lyrics
I would open up the book
But I don't know where to start to look
You're so tall and you're so strong
Standing by me
But this won't take too long
Do you remember?
I called for you
And you were gone
I thought we were safe but I was wrong
I'm just left here standing
Looking on
You ask me which way I'll go
Whichever way the wind blows
I don't know
There is no eternity at any price
Beggars and choosers don't get to live in paradise
And people die for just one kiss
And it's plain to me
We are not being everything that we could be
No one wants to run the risk
Sometimes I wish I was blind
I thought I saw a whole lot more than this

  17. Everyone seems to be reading one Michael Lee West book or another. I am reading American Pie and I have been tagged three times for this and have not posted mine yet. My book has already been done by at least two other bloggers so I will share a few lines from one of her other books. She's got a great style doesn't she?!

  32. Hi Sheila, I have not been to see you for awhile, it's been one thing after another for me. I have missed you though and really did enjoy going to the posts that I've missed. First Happy Birthday to Mr. Presious and hello to sweet Chloe Dawn! I love your Pier One dishes and they are great for fall! I have not had manicotti in so many years, now I want it. Have to go out and buy the fixings tomorrow. My Mom and I used to get that for lunch all the time back in the 80's in a cozy little Italian Restaruent. Cake looked yummy and I love, love, love the way you stacked it. Your staircase and enty are just beautiful! Oh I can't wait to get my staircase done! All your tablescapes have been so pretty especially the one with the pumpkin, I loved the round white table.
Well, I better end this before they cut me off. I promise it won't be so long next time.
    Blessings, Shirl
