Pink Saturday

Hi Dear Pink Ones!! Welcome to Pink Saturday which is hosted by the Pinkest Beverly at http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/my_weblog/%20here- there will be many Pink Ones to visit! Most of you know when we had to evacuate for Hurricane Ike, Mother, Chloe Dawn and I went to Alabama to be with my Mother's sisters - my aunts. Well, while I was walking Chloe Dawn around one Pink morning, I starting taking pictures of some of my aunts flowers. I thought these Morning Glories were just beautiful!

There's just something about Morning Glories that makes me smile. Hope you like them too, especially the Pink ones.

Look at these pretty Pink flowers. I'm not sure, are these called Sweet Williams?

Whatever they're called, their Pinkness is just perfect! I told my aunt...

...uh oh...

Chloe Dawn! What are you doing? You're helping me with Pink Saturday? Well, okay my little fuzzy face. I do see your Pink sunglasses...yes, I see the Pink flower in your little straw hat! But darling, you're drinking entirely too much sweet tea! I know, I know how you love sweet tea, but honey you're not in Alabama anymore. I don't think you can handle all that sugar! It will make you hyper!! Yes, darling, you look so much like Scarlett O'Hara...yes, I really mean it.

What's a Pink mother to do with her Scarlett O'Hara look alike? ;)

Happy Pink Saturday!!

Here's a little Note Song for you ~

Dixieland
O, I wish I was in the land of cotton
Old times there are not forgotten
Look away! Look away!Look away! Dixie Land.
In Dixie Land where I was born in
Early on one frosty mornin'
Look away! Look away!Look away! Dixie Land.
O, I wish I was in Dixie!
Hooray! Hooray!
In Dixie Land I'll take my stand
To live and die in Dixie
Away, away, Away down south in Dixie!

~ sung by Chloe Dawn in her "Elvis" voice

Attention! Attention!! We must interrupt the musical portion of our blog to give you the latest breaking news story!! Someone has just handed me this bulletin - there has been another bathroom invasion, Dear Astonished Ones! This time the bathroom was in New York City!! Now you know we've all heard of the strange goings on in New York City!! Well, here's one to add to your list. Now, you know I am the Queen of Bathroomness and I must put on my Divaship this very moment and see if we have the real thing or one of those nasty New York City imposters!!

This does look like a bathrom, Dear Squinty Eyed Ones! Watch out for that flash!! Ouch, that gets me everytime. Okay, I'm alright, just need to close my gorgeous baby blues a second. Now, I do see a pretty top of someone's head covered with gorgeousness of hair - filled with bathroom highlights! The halves of two gorgeous peepers. Yes, there is the peaches and creamyness of complexion, my Ivory Soap Dear Ones. I see half of a very shapely arm and the most loveliest hand and the daintiest of fingers attached to a CAMERA!! Yes, we have another true living Diva, Most Jumping Up and Down Ones!! I believe the reason for her halfness is the mirror is hung too high. It's not hung at eye level. Some tall man did this, I'm sure of it!

Oh, I'm so excited! I thought we were at the end of our Bathroom Business, but no, no, Nannette!! We have another one!! Woo Hooness!!
Do we know this most Beautiful One? I'm trying so hard to stand on my toes to see her entire lovely face. Okay, yes, I can see her - it's our own Nikki at http://nikkicrumpet.blogspot.com/ . Oh, Nikki, welcome to Bathroom Land!!

Now to the most important part. Please hand me my cape and crown. Yes, yes, I know it's Pink Saturday, but my Bathroom business is very important. Ahem...Nikki, I am about to bestow upon you the most coveted title in the entire universe. People have adored this title and have broken through many bathroom doors all over America and beyond to achieve it. But you are standing before me now and you are the one who's made it today. Nikki, you are now a Daring Darling Bathroom Beauty Snapping Diva and shall be one for ever and ever and until the twelfth of never! Congratulations!

Well, all my most adoring Bathroom Diva fans, I must tell you. Even during the evacuation of a hurricane, your Bathroom Diva Queen would never let you down. There is always time for a Bathroom Beauty Snap...even a blurry one!!

Snap snap snap! Bathrooms are awaiting you all over the world!! Snap on Divas!!

This is absolutely THE END

  13. You deserve a Super Blogger Award for snapping blog worthy photos in the midst of your evacuation!
Don't feel too bad about the Maggiano's blurriness...I tried to become a Bathroom Diva there and their lighting is just not conducive to flattering photography. Someone in their higher ups needs to rectify that problem. lol

  15. Sheila your post has put a huge smile on my face and I needed that. Your flower photos are so pretty. I have morning glories growing on our bank here in he mountains. I should take some pics, but alas, my new knee is not ready for such a climbing adventure.

I saw Nikki's bathroom Diva photo earlier and my remark to her was "I hope Sheila sees this." Yeh! you are back and I am so happy now.

The big wedding was last weekend and I danced. (slow) If you check my Friday post, my children are all together for a photo at the wedding.
It was wonderful and more photos will come later.

    Love and hugs and blessings...Jeanne

  33. It is so great to have you pink posting those great florals and sharing potty pictures---life is good and almost back to "normal", huh.
I just caught up on your storm story and the photos you shared! Wow. It all looked so horrible on the news, but to see your photos just makes it so real. I am so glad you guys were OK and so was your home. You did get to spend some good time with realitives and now take care of your mama for a while. Your daughter is beautiful--oh, I just hope that beautiful kitty found a loving home. He/she looked so helpless. I just adopted a little starving kitty in June--she has turned out to be the best little critter. She's sleeping right by the monitor as I type this to you!
Hope your weekend is great! Dana
