Blue Monday

I'm so glad to be participating for the first time in Blue Monday.
All of this great Blueness is hosted by my friend, Sally at http://smilingsally.blogspot.com/search/label/Blue%20Monday%20Instructions.
If you would love to see all things Blue go and visit her today!

I would love to show you the Blue waters of the Gulf of Mexico. We're still in the recovery mode from Hurricane Ike and it's so amazing to know this beautiful water has caused such destruction when you see it like this ~ so calm and softly rolling. I'm so thankful today for the beautiful Blue calm water. Perched upon the rock is my little friend - the Pelican. I just love these oddly built but oh so graceful birds. You can't tell, but I do believe his little eyes are baby blue! lol

I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~

I Shall Not Be Moved
I shall not be, I shall not be moved
I shall not be, I shall not be moved
Just like a tree that's planted by the water
I shall not be moved
On this rock of ages, I shall not be moved
On this rock of ages, I shall not be moved
Just like a tree that's planted by the water
I shall not be moved
Glory, glory, glory hallelujah,
I shall not be moved
Glory hallelujah, I shall not be moved
Just like a tree that's planted by the water
I shall not be moved
~ sung by many~

  6. I can't hear the melody of your Note Song today. It is familiar but I'm sure I'm singing it to the wrong tune. I'm going to have to find an audio version later or it will make it crazy...crazier. :)

  11. Good morning, Shelia -
Ah, calm waters after the storm. Such a wonderful site! Thank you for sharing this wonderful old Gospel song. When I was in Jr. High and High School two of my best friends and I formed a trio. That was our 'signature' song. We took it to state competitions and won! I never hear it or sing it without wondering what they are doing. And I can always hear our young voices in harmony again.

  18. Good Morning Sheila,
Great Blue Monday post. You are right. It is amazing how something so beautiful and relaxing can become so violent and destructive.
I am so glad that it has calmed down and that you are on the way to recovery.

  27. Sheila, your sweet pelican and the blue CALM water is delightful. We once saw white pelicans out west on vacation. It was so strange. I thought they were swans at first glance from afar and what a surprise.
    Love your song as always.

    Love...Jeanne
