Just One More Tea Party!! Please!!

Hello dear ones! I'm sorry, I have just gotten so into the Tea Partyness, and wanted to show you one more party! Yesterday's party was really just for play but this one was an absolute in real life tea party I hosted for the ladies of my church. It was a grand time and you couldn't step one foot in the door if you were not wearing a hat you decorated yourself. We had quite a few lulus! You know I'm talking about the hats! :)
The beautiful silver belongs to my friend...she has every piece of anything silver you could possible want! Believe this or not, she actually has a silver room lined with the felty stuff to keep silver from tarnishing. Yes, that's right, she really does. The assortment of tea cups belong to her also. That girl has everything!
Of course we had cucumber sandwiches, tea cakes, chicken spreads, fruit ambrosia and cake.

This is really not a recipe, but I will share one thing we did a little differently with the cucumber sandwiches. Instead of sliced cucumbers for the sandwiches, we chopped up the cucumber and stirred it into the cream cheese filling. It was really tasty and a little more dainty to eat! We had some left over and Mr. Precious finished them off - pronto!
Here are the Hostesses with the Mostesses adorned in all their decorated hat glorynesses!
Now this was really fun. I used to decorate cakes for my children's birthday parties and for church functions, but that was years ago and I was a little rusty. Well, I pulled out my supplies and went to town and made a little hat cake all decorated with flowers! I think it turned out pretty cute and it really was delicious...all soft and gooey. Shall I cut you a piece? Aw, come one, just one little one. You're going to love it! Oh, my hat was called 'The Birds and the Bees' - filled with birds and bird's nest, flowers and of course bees. We cleared it with our pastor and we all wore our hats to church the next Sunday! What a sight that was!

Dear ones, the party is over and now I've got to get really busy and wash all these dishes! No, no, I don't need your help. But thank you so much for offering.
Now where is my little helper, Chloe Dawn, when I need her? Chloe, Chloe Dawn where are you, darling? Mommy needs you!

(shhhhh...don't tell Mommy where I am. I don't want to mess up my nails by doing dishes!)
I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~
Tea for Two
Picture you upon my knee
Just tea for two and two for tea
Just me for you and you for me alone
Nobody near us to see us or hear us
No friends or relations on weekend vacations
We won't have it known, dear
That we own a telephone, dear
Day will break and you'll awake
And start to bake a sugar cake
For me to take for all the boys to see
We will raise a family
A boy for you, a girl for me
Oh, can't you see how happy we would be

~ Caesar/Yormans
